No, The Box has two official parts. The first part is i
think glockenspiel, or some kind of bells, with a slow drum
beat. The second part is where things pick up, it's hard to
explain. Give a listen.

Then you need the album IN-SIDES! :D

Look at my avatar. THAT'S what it looks like.

It's a moody album. Start off happy and alive, dives
straight through anger, frustration, melancholy, anxiety and
back to contentment. It's the ride of your life!

"The Box", a 2-part track (you'll understand why when you
listen to it), is a kind of music box tune that gets darker
and darker until the end. It's spooky. :O

How's that? :)

Insides is one of my all time favourite albums. Actually,
The Box was the first Orbital track I ever heard, and i've
been hooked ever since.

you need to get the 28mts ep
it is my favorite on the album
i usualy play pt 1 from the album then follow it with the ep
so i can get maximum pleasure

Altogether was somewhat disappointing for me. A few decent
tracks, but otherwise nothing too memorable.

electro, do you have the video dvd with the music videos? or
the dvd-audio version of altogether?

too bad we cannot access the dvd here cause it is in pal
system

Yeah, that was a grower. But Tension and Meltdown saved the
album IMHO...plus that snazzy 2nd CD :)

BTW, that was the last album Orbital did for London Records.
They're now flying solo. Which is for the best...

:O)

they dont let me down

i liked
funny break
oi!
dr who
shadows and
melt down

illuminate was ok
the other four songs were crap
the album had that greatest hits feel to it

No, that was "Work". ;)

Have you heard "Technologique Park" yet?

offline electro from detroit on 2002-10-27 00:12 [#00418017]
Points: 2880 Status: Regular

well
i said before it had no flow
nothing like all the previous albums
from green to brown to MON all had a flow
the altogether sounded like a compilation album
nothing was connected
they missed the unity between the songs

i heared "technologique park"
i thought it should have been on the altogther

Yeah i really want the DVD video to be released in Region 1.

offline DaWeeze from WANTED IN 16 STATES! on 2002-10-27 00:16 [#00418020]

Agreed. Did sound like a mixtape more than an album, but
rocked me nonetheless.

They're also doing a film score for a movie named "Octane"
being shown next year...

xlr: Don't bet on it. Orbital pleaded, but no good came of
it and there was never a plan to release it in North
America... :(

The only to see it is with a regionless or foreign DVD
player (and a proper sound system to take advantage of the
Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound...w00t!).

Sorry. Not Orbital's fault. Blame Warner Bros. music dept.
:P

you need a tv and a dvd with a pal system
i read somewhere that the dvd had easter eggs
you can remix the tracks too

loopz.co.uk had a few clips

Not real keen on "Saint", but "Sinner" is a monster of a
track. Good bass, hard beats and long. Woo-hoo! :D

tracks 2 & 3 from the box EP (in between the normal box
theme) are really twisted, some of the best stuff i've heard
from orbital

times fly is nice, i love the way it just flows along

Agreed, this EP is sweet. I got hold of it just thinking it
would be the album tracks. The middle tracks are totally
different and have some sweet harpsichord action.

It's a bit like some of the older FSOL singles/EPs that have
a big bunch of alternative track versions on them
