Donkey Rhubarb EP

I've just been listening to it, and came to the conclusion
that it isn't very good! DonkeYR hubard itself is 3 times
the length it should be, and would have been better as a
filler on RDJ than a 6 minute single. Vaz Deferenz is like a
really crap remix of the title track, and suffers from the
same symptoms that it's brother did. Icct hedral was
originally crap anyways, so having Phillip Glass classical
it up wasn't a strong carrer move, and Pancake Lizard is
very RDJ album, but lacks the melody of any of the albums
tracks. Besides the empty but cool cover art and the obvious
Imperial Leather CD Label parody, it was a bit of a waste of
£3.99.

If you think that Donkey Rhubarb runs too long than grab the
video of it..

Its much shorter...almost like a "radio edit" ;)

I like Icct Hedral and Pancake Lizard, but you're right
about the other 2 tracks...

Hmm, listening on Pancake Lizard is melodic... just a bit
slow, maybe would have been better as more Girl/Boy style.

I'll have to get the radio edit for sure!

I love ICCT Hedral ^o.o^

Made any more Drill n Bass Steve? My friends love Dr
Skittles, I got the track after that too. :)

Hey Spikee, thanks for remembering it! I'm glad you and yer
chums enjoy it, i recently played it on the hifi, and it
felt like I was drowning in bass!! The most recent one of
it's nature is Xof .J Leahcim, it's like Ambient Drill N
Bass, very fine Drum Patterns... Click Here for that. Or
"Fly My Kite" which is just very fast (I worked out it's
240bpm!!) Here

Enjoy!

Word. Icct Hedral. Both the Phillip Glass Orchestration and
the Original are flawless.

Hey Steve
I so disagree with you. Donkey Rhubarb the title is
questionble perhaps but the tune itself is well quite
ssomething. In my humble opinion that is;}

Well, it's alright, but it's not really something I'd define
as being either groundbreaking or as good as many of his
other works. But then again i couldn't find any fault in
Drukqs, yet just about everyone else disagreed, so maybe I'm
listening from a different angle :).

donkey rhubarb is one of the best upbeat twin songs. the
video pushes my mind towards insanity. only the twin could
think of sumthin that cool and twisted. donkey rhubarb is
underestimated in its coolness.

pancake lizard is a good song, the last part when it change
is really good to me
iccct hetdral is fantastic both version!!!
seconf song isn't too good, but i like how it sound it's
like old aphex banging techno ( wich i love) but with better
production and compostion
donkey rubharb is excellent for the pure happiness that come
with but it should be smaller

pancake lizard is pretty good - as neoexmnist says,
especially the last part.

I think the Philip Glass version of icct hedral is superior
to the original version - see previous thread:

Donkey Rhubarb definitely goes on for much longer than it
needs to.
Vaz Deferenz - meh.
I actually prefer the Philip Glass version of Icct Hedral to
the original.
Pancake Lizard I like a lot.

IS Vaz a remix of Donkey Rhubarb? Cos it uses the same
instruments.

Donkey Rhubarb is one of my fav. RDJ releases. It's well
worth the price for Pancake Lizard alone (one of his best
song ever). Donkey Rhubarb is really funny to listen to. it
definetly cheers you up. If you watch the video you'll start
to like it more i'm sure :D Icct Hedral "live mix" is
fantastic. I don't really care for the 2nd track though.

I think the whole of Donkey Rhubarb is fantastic. Classic
Aphex quirkyness.
Shame he doesn't do it like that anymore.

On a second listen, Donkey Rhubarb seems alot better. I like
the poriginality of it as opposed to my preconceptions of it
being just a cheap release. The music is truly unique in the
sense it's almost club, almost idm, not sure what it is. I
really don't like Vaz Deferenz though, cept noone seems to
be able to notice it's amost like a DR remix!

uuuhhh... it's maybe the same samples but where is another
resemblance???
agree it's the weakest on tha ep but if you like cxlassics a
bit you could like this song (mauybe shorter too, but it'"s
techno so...)

his called "51:13 Singles Collection".

I like ICCT HEDRAL especially ICBYD version. Pancake Lizard
is nice, Donkey Rhubarb is funny but too long and repetitive
and Vaz Defenderez is really nothing special. Anyway Donkey
Rhubarb
track is the music of my mobile phone ring (my phone can
record sounds from the ambient).
