but I'm tempted to get one, my only reservation is that a
company that makes such shady hardware may be a rip-off
merchant....

These little hand-held units ARE perfectly legal. The
market is flooded with the things at the moment, and cost
between £9.99 and £49.99. I'd rather pay a hell of a lot
more and have the REAL thing. And on the subject of tack
and nastiness, I'm convinced RDJ was at a boot fair in
Swansea the other day! Totally convinced of it.

I am doubting the legitimacy of this...

You should check out MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator)
for your PC. All the classics, all for free...

Roms have been taken down now sadly... doesn't look like
they're going back up. Do you know of anywhere good that
still does them/sells complete mame set cds?

it says "128 games identical to these classics" or something

I don't need TV out as I have a 22" TFT monitor and Surround
sound on my PC. I want one of those joysticks advertised on
mame.dk :)

It's made from the same components as modern arcade machines
(tekken 4 etc.) It'd be so cool for 2 player beat em ups :)

i've seen products similar to this, and they are legal and
usually aren't shady, but this one seems to be.

I would also just stick to mame, and now that I know they
are on soulseek and kazaa (never thought to try it before),
the possibilities are endless. :)
