I'm into CDs...simply because I don't have a
grammophone...;.)

CDs. I'll never buy a vinyl record again.

My house has gone mp3-only recently. Time to box up all the
CDs and free up some space in the living room. :-)

Depends on the album, all my Autechre stuff I prefer the CD
originals. The analogue stuff RDJ has done I prefer on
vinyl but the drill and bass I prefer CD. Squarepusher CD
for everything as well.

CD's for me definately

record players are so expensive now, and finding parts for
them can be difficult.

i have the complete collection of Bach's work on vinyl but
i've NEVER heard it cos i don't know anyone who own a record
player. =/

i wanna hear them sometime in my life....ehehhe. i can't
bear to part with them.

curiosity, how many??

CDs are too short for me... I like to be able to go thru
Gigs of Mp3s :)

But yes.. I LOVE VINYL!!!! -- the sound... the smell, its
size :D
There real works of art !!!

Gotta be vinyl. I still listen to CDs for ease of use, but
if I had to pick one over the other, my record collection
would easliy win.

Also DJing with CDs is absolutely horrible. Vinyl is better!
More frequency range! More atmosphere! You can stratch with
it! Nice big covers! Just look at it! Phwoaaaar!

ae said in an interview that if you buy their albums on cd
you then hear the music as much as they hear it..

I'm going for cd's, although I do buy vinyl if forced to. a
friend of mine then copies it to cd-r.

(Incomplete without surface noise)

the thing about vinyls are the covers, their size, the care
you have to give them - the whole thing just gets me going.

also, my cats like vinyls (because they see them spin,
naturally) and i consider that quite important :)

i really got into vinyl...
the fact that it's more difficult to get hold of them is a
fine thing! :) makes you search in record shops...

there's nothing more cool than having the 2x10" of Múm's
"finally we are no one" :)

I like vinyl. It's quite antique to me, but I prefer CD
because of the fact that it's more compact, the quality is
so much better and you don't have to change sides.

Vinyl of course, the sound is clearer and fatter, for easy
listening mp3, for own producing wav, aiff, for recording
DAT and a cheap mic, it does the job.

well, I go through fuck loads of vinyl for sampling, so its
lovely to have cd's that you don't need to turn over or do
anything to. Better still would be MD, if only it was
slightly higher quality

but I think people can be too anal anyway, its all good!

lets see if my comment goes through THIS time!

i have never counted them, there are a lot tho. they are
stored in leather like boxes....and they are so cool. a
little old lady who's dog i used to dog sit when i was 13
gave them to me. i used to tell her how much i loved BACH
and so one day she told me that i could have them.

it was the sweetest thing, and while i think they may be
valuable i would NEVER sell them.

i have them stored otherwise i'd count cos i think there are
10 albums per box and i think i have over 10 boxes....but
don't quote me on that.

i love looking through old albums at thrift stores/garage
sales, and i flip my lid when i find a record store that
actually carries vinyl....

i put 2 remixes by AFX onto the table yesterday morning, and
i couldnt stop dancing! it was awesome! it also made me late
for work...

the cd version never made me late for work...

I prefer albums on CD's and Singles EP's on Vinyl but it
varies.
I bought Windowlicker and Come To Daddy on both cd and vinyl
, the vinyl is on my wall and i listen to the cd's hehe!
Alot of electronic music is actualy easyer to get on vinyl
then cd's.
It's because of the whole dj thing i guess.
And i think if its a good quality pressing the bass response
is better in vinyl records.

cd's but diablo is right, dj'ing with cd's is horrible. i do
a radio show and it'd be so slick if i were on the ones and
twos but i'm on these two shitty cd players. all i can do is
stop, start, fade in and fade out.

of course it can, maybe not in the same way, but actually i
use both, vinyl and computer, and it's the shit with scratch
the one side and a frequence modulation on the other side,
routing the turntable out to a delay effect, woaf ¦-{D}
