Hi folks, I'm new to this mb. I was just wondering what
people thought to the proposed new Aphex remixes album.
Personally I reckon its cool and cant wait for it...but will
the people who have spent the last god knows how many years
picking these rmxs up individually think the same? Will this
devalue the originals? Like I say personal I cant wait!!!!

I hope it devalues the originals because the people who sell
them for a huge profit aren't the true fans of the music but
opportunists.

All music should be accessable to all, not an elite few who
can afford £50 for an original vinyl release. It is for
this very reason I think file sharing is so good, although
if I like something and I can buy it for a reasonable price
I will do.

I'm hoping theres gonna be new stuff on there....kinda says
there will in the bit at Warp...

I've spent ages hunting down his remixes on CD so I should
vaguely pissed but really I feel the more people who get to
hear em, the better....some of his best stuff, I reckon...

like Jand said, it's some of his best stuff.

It's supposed to be 30 track, I know of only 29 remixes
which would allow for at least one previously unheard
track.

...it will be cool. Like Jand, I've invested a lot of time
into collecting everything, but it will be neat to see an
official release of it all together.. you know... new
artwork and hopefully some litterature in the inlay, little
stufflike that that makes us drool.

even though i have a pretty complete remix collection, ill
still buy it.

i don't avidly collect his stuff, don't even have all the
cds hes got out now, but i will buy this one, like to hear
remixes.

i read once, probably here that one or two times afx was
asked to remix someones song and didn't, or just forgot and
he just handed them an un released track of his laying
around! so maybe just maybe some of these remixes will be
them!

I only know of 28 released ones (not including the ones on
classics and 2 remixes by afx).

Are you counting the unreleased Craig David and Lemonheads
remixes?

My favorite ones are the curve, seefeel, st etienne and
gavin bryars remixes ...
