i read week to read my next book, which one should i pick:
lolita by vladmir nobokov
or
the screwtape letters by c.s. lewis

those are my only 2 choices (books i own that seem
relatively quick to read). library isn't an option cos if i
can't read the book in a week i have to return it and it'll
be unfinished, i hate that. furthermore, i called them to
ask if they had a scanner darkly by phillip k. dick, fear
and loathing in las vegas by hunter s. thompson, or choke by
chuck pahlaniuk and they're 0 for 3. so it's lolita or
screwtape letters - what do you think?

c.s. lewis is great. i'd go with that.

i love reading. right now i am reading marquis de sade's 120
days of sodom and a finnish poetry compilation

sade yet but i saw quills, wicked movie. btw i was in
finland a few weeks ago, pretty nice city you have there.

anyone else have any words of advice, c.s. vs. vladmir?

i was on vacation. i looked around your city on a saturday
morning, all you finns were still sleeping or staying in
your country homes. i checked out lots of statues, parks,
trails, and a big lake. then i went shopping in your strange
underground mall system.

:D

well i just moved away from helsinki, (to the countryside),
so i should update my info.

but if you like to read i could recommend you some books:
the ants by bernard werber
eden by stanislaw lem
neverwhere or stardust by neil gaiman
the mythago wood by robert holdstock

i'm not sure about the names though, they might be different
in english.

can you tell me a bit about eaccok? i've never heard of any
of them, and i've only heard of one of the authors - neil
gaiman.

eaccok??? wtf?
if you mean of these books.
the ants is a brilliant book about, surprise, ants. sounds
boring but is not. eden is a weird science fiction book. the
mythago wood is s fantasy/science fiction book, quite
extraordinary.

black metal is huge in finland isn't it? when i was in
helsinki they had just had a huge concert the night before
and there were all these rivetheads, goths, and punks
dressed in black t-shirts and corsets walking around.

it was probably the TUSKA (pain) festival.
black metal is not that huge in finland, usually. it was the
climax of the year for them.

there were some big ugly guys drunk who shouted to us,
"hippies! vegetarians!"

like that would offend me somehow.
