does that main theme have a name?
and who composed it?

its a terrible soundtrack. The main theme is awesome, but
the soundtrack is scattered music lasting on average 15
seconds. Pap shite.

i agree with chimpy. The main theme is undeniably awesome
[ask peter jackson haha]. But the structure of the
soundtrack CD is absolute shite.

The first time I saw The Two Towers trailer with that music
I was like "Wtf..", but it ended up working really well I
think. Great theme. I like the rest of the soundtrack, too.

Anything by the Kronos Quartet sooooo absolutely rocks. They
are prolly my fave modern string quartet. You should hear
them do the Dick Dale's Miserlou ...

hmm, i thought it merited a purchase. it looks good, and
i'm over the fact that it basically seems like the just hit
record and played the movie.

but a remix album of a soundtrack? stupid.

I think so, yes. I have it.

the film itself has suddenly become quite cheap on dvd,
here.

Yeah, here it's sold packaged with Pi for one low price.

alnuit - The Kronos Quartet doing Miserlou?!?? That sounds
ass kicking...must look for it. I started a thread a while
back about them doing some sort of music from outer space,
but I can't remember the details now. I wonder if that got
released yet.

Man! The main theme form requiem nearly moved me to tears!

It's a really awesome score. I'm gonna' have to try to get
hold of it.
