Electronic re-workings of The Beatles, The Who, Zeppelin,
Sabbath, The Stones, Floyd, Doors, anything like that... is
there anyone here that knows of any decent remixes?

I've downloaded a couple, including a Lucy in the Sky techo
remix... nn tss nn tss nn tss nn tss crap... either it'll be
that thumping beat or a really lame faux pas drill and bass
and chopped up lyrics. I've never heard anything decent.

Do good remixes exist? I can come up with some great ideas
for songs like Daytripper, but getting them OUT of my head
and into audible form... no way.

I haven't ever been able to find much better than the "nn
tss nn tss" of the "Lucy..." remix, either.

Whaahhoo! Ophecks gots a new picture!!!

check out the FSOL mix cd (well, it was SUPPOSED to be a cd
but they couldn't get the songs cleared... so it was
broadcast on the radio in 2000 and bootlegged by fans) "a
psychedelic bubble exploding in your mind" (i think that's
the correct title)

it's all 60s-70s psychedelic rock given the FSOL treatment,
very cool. even barbara streisand is vastly remixed!

also, on the subject of the beatles, two recent remixes have
come to my attention.
Eleanor Rigby by Jacknife Lee
and
Yellow Submarine by Roots Manuva from his forthcoming mix
album Badmeaninggood

Billy Idol's L.A. Woman remix is good. Not techno, but hell
it is still good :)

Hey, is everybody dead here? While we're talking, I'd just
like to ask: what's the use of the current poll (what are
your expectations of the new squarepusher release...)? The
fukken thing has been up on soulseek for weeks and everyone
ever into squarepusher has probably heard at least parts of
it. Except for a couple of hardcases who have sworn not to
listen to it before it's officially out...

I guess that makes me a hardcase then...

=)

Hey, do you know today it's Jonesy's birthday?

He told me it's this week, but he didn't tell me it's today,
that boy is so modest.

Holy shit, the poll has just been changed, that was a fast
reaction to my righteous inquiery.
