Anyone have/listened to Sasha's Debut Solo cd? It's pretty
nifty, I listen to alot since I got it...

Haven't gotten the CD itself yet, I haven't seen it by me.
Though the MP3s I have are very good.

Sasha's solo stuff is awesome.

Nice to see someone else likes it.

I was dissapointed....It was too normal and not radical
enough for me...and only a few of the songs built up...the
rest just sort of...mingled. It's nice backround
music...nothing more (IMO!!!)

I found it pretty good. When I bought I didn`t expect
anything really innovative, but I got my good share of nice
surprises, instead of the same trance stuff.

I also enjoyed the ethereal atmosphere.

About two years ago I'd have got it the minute it was
released but I just don't play much of this stuff at the
moment. I'd be interested to hear it though.

its still a good album, cloud cuckoo is my fav. track on the

I saw this get really slated in the NME, but I really don't
like the kind of music they seem to love and put on the
cover all the time (Radiohead, Travis etc) so I could take
it as a recommendation!

Sasha at Universe is one of the first DJ mix tapes I heard
(wasn't there tho' I was probably at school then), its so
good in places, especially when the MC comes up on his E -
pretty funny.

oh hell yeah, this album is great. it was like zero rave
cahcah. heard two different songs from it in two different
places and they really did it for me. amazing how much like
Orbital "Immortal" sounds. "Wavy Gravy" is an ace in the
hole.

just listening to this now.
........... its a great little album i think......nice beats
and melodies Oneofthose albums with a common vibe that pops
up at various stages through it.

"Magnetic North" is awesome

He was supposed to DJ here on sunday and i went with my ex.
dicovered he cancelled for personal reasons so went to DJ
Food instead and danced all night

Yes, I love this album, particulary the ambient/melodic
tracks,
shades of Bola in there to these ears, I think this sort of
stuff is very underrated, especially amongst IDM fans.

check Hybrid's "WideAngle" too, very atmospheric stuff

Listened to it again today in the car. Fantastic album. It
doesn't matter who made it, just timeless music. Nothing
but quality.

my cat's name was sasha, but then she died :(
I didn't read anything but the word "sasha" in the title of
this thread; I feel like a rebel.

I once prodded DJ Sasha in the back as he was heading to the
dj booth at Fabric. I Idolised him a few years ago. He
gave me a look which said "what the fuck" and I ran off
giggling into the toilets.

Hahaha. It's a great album like, brings back memories.
Magnetic North is especially special.

He does do great solo stuff like, if you fans ain't heard
Arkham Asylum & Ohmna do so, great stuff from back in the
day.
