ru.electronic is a great album.....there are a bunch a cool russian artists on it: EU, fizzarum, solar x, and lonyx to name a few. also try artefacts on art-tek records, it's another great russian comp.

Yeah, russians really can do good electronica - they're inventive. You can also check out the Kazantip'98 compilation. Kazantip is an annual festival in Crimea, Ukraine, and it holds mostly electronic shit.
Beside people mentioned by naaic (Solar X is good), there are Moscow Grooves Institute and Species of Fishes - the last one is very good. Whenever I get to soulseek I'll share it.
