This song is amazing. It was originally recorded in 1969
and ended up on the Clockwork Orange score.

It just blows my mind that some of these sounds were being
made back then. I mean, sure, there are some cheesy synth
sounds in there, but one section of the track (where the
'beat' kicks in) just get me every time. It sounds like drum
and bass that is being produced today (just the one part)..

Any one else have any thoughts on this? Anyone familliar
with more Wendy Carlos?

yea, we've had discussions about him/her. He "Switched"
into a she....walter to wendy. even though thats kinda
freaky, i still enjoy the music.

she's gone on to score most of the kubrick movies, tron etc
etc. very talented person.

I've seen A Clockwork Orange, but I've never really heard a
lot of her work.

I kow what you mean about those certain sounds though.
Forbidden Planet had some pretty wacky (pretty cheesy now)
sounds in it for it's time, and that's and pretty old movie.

Oh my God, I thought the sex change operation was just a
joke... ew...

Regardless, ''it'' made some great music on A Clockwork
Orange... kind of dated, but damn good.

dated but at the time, and compared to some of the new
