is it possible to find out the real adress from a yahoo user ? i've bought a IBM thinkpad notebook from a french men, i sended him the half price for the notebook via westernunion cuz he wanted a guarantee. he gave the notebook to UPS to send me the thing, BUT he didn't has accepted to UPS to send out the notebook, it's still in france and he didn't send a mail to me till yet.... i think you know my problem... |

Was this via an auction site or summink? If so, contact the sites webmaster as they will have had to reg and so the webmaster will have their address/tele num etc! |

sadly: no. it was an ocassion webpage who let peoples write out they're stuff to sell... only the mail... but i have an adress, from a friend of him who has the notebook, cuz he was in australia, but i don't belive him, maybe it's his own adress.... i'm so dumb... |

Try writing to the addy.....but do not mention the notebook in the letter....state you are an old friend so you can get an honest reply regarding whether it is him.... If his reply states that it is him.....you have a target for a bomb!! |

if have several mail addy's.... but the problem is, he's french, and i'm a bitch in speaking/writing that language, so i have to find a person how can translate for me the whole texts. actually, it's 10:21 in the morning here, and i'll wait till 12 o'clock.... i hope i'm not arsed... |

Sadly Yahoo won't give out real addresses (even if he did fill it in honestly) unless they're issued with a court order... Due to the fact this is an international dealing it's highly unlikely you'd get it. Sorry Map :( |

Just try a letter in 'pseudo-french' (english using occasional french words) to make it appear like you have been living in the uk or somewhere for a long time......will peak his interest and make him more eager to contact you. In all honesty tho....it doesn't look good....think you may never get the notepad or your monies. Did you say it was a cash transfer to his account? If so, Western Union will have his details....you may be able to get the details off of them!? |

Sorry bud...being realistic! Pirotess & I have on 2 occasions now sent monies (totalling around £100) to two seperate people....1 in Hong Kong nad another I think in the US. This was via ebay & we have their email addies.....never heard hide nor hair from them again nor the items or money! I know what you're going through matey....it fucking sucks!!! |
