i hate when quotes like this make sense and we're NOT suppose to FEAR something......grrrrrr
this guy is too logical!!
Why should I fear death? If I am, death is not. If death is, I am not. Why
should I fear that which cannot exist when I do?
-Epicurus, philosopher (c.341-270 BCE)

The Way of the Samurai is found in death. Meditation on inevitable death should be performed daily. Every day when one's body and mind are at peace, one should meditate upon being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears and swords, being carried away by surging waves, being thrown into the midst of a great fire, being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake, falling from thousand-foot cliffs, dying of disease or committing seppuku at the death of one's master. And every day without fail one should consider himself as dead.
Hagakure (The way of the Samurai)

That quote ignores time and change. I fear death because:
01) there is a distinct possibility that i will suddenly be UN for ever and ever and ever and ever &tc
02) i don't want to be there when it happens

But I don't control that I know that mine's precious til the end
I leave my lifecourse to the greater knowledge of the creator
And if it's time to go, I won't hold back, I'll just let it, go..
Let it flow, if it's meant to come back then it shall do so

Epicurus was a sucker. Sure he died fearfully cryin' like a child...
Never take philosophers too seriously, I used to be one of them... ...gotta end my studies someday... ...argh...
