*damn*, you found me :)

Good good - got a bit of work on from school - basically the
reason. I've got about 10 or so tracks waiting in the wings,
but not getting enough look in for me to tidy them up etc.
Including that absurdely hyped up bigblackmix - which by
now is surely is an old skool affair with all these brand
spanking new zeBox porkjets.

You might be pleased to hear that my favourite fx at the
moment is over drive, combined with a bit-crusher ! :)

Thinking of starting a new little alias type do also -
haven't quite figured out the name tho.

no no .. the last one is finished - but a brand spanking new
one a fresh one is upon me :) such is life.

ahh.. i think i'll be alright coming up with a name - but
thanx anyhow .. just have to sort of see what/where the
project would be heading .. and then have a suitable name.

Re: bit-crusher .. can you use VST effects with the floops
your using? I'll just go look for the url anyhow.

can't find it - it was the one that came with cubase .. um..
could have some compatability issues. But if you can use vst
stuff, you might like to check out
http://www.databaseaudio.co.uk there's lots of free fun
stuff there to play around with.

Developmental Systems Theory? I havn't looked into it. Any
particular book on it? I don't know exactly what it is.

I'm almost finished with the selfish gene (I had an enormous
pause somewhere in the middle, then picked it up again) I
still think it's one of the most interesting books I've ever
read. I also got a C++ book and "the hitchhikers guide to
the galaxy" recently. I decided not to get naked lunch, the
reviews were mixed at amazon.com.

dubEMMEdub: if you're interested I can hook you up with a
pdf - "developmental systems and evolutionary explanation" -
by griffiths&gray (two of the main proponents of the
theory).

Its a little tough going at times, but then its only THAT
long .. If you're interested pop me a mail and I'll sort you
out.

I've also got an article somewhere "what is DST"
unfortunately I haven't got it in electronic format. Mmmhh..

An flea .. i d/l a boy with a girls name, a girl with a boys
name and boink!

- this sound is really developed .. what i mean to say is
thick, or mmm.. complex - but then there is still some
paradoxical "lightness" to the songs .. very very wicked

you gonna believe the reviews at amazon on Naked
Lunch????????

sheesh

here's an excerpt...from the book..

"There is only one thing a writer can write about: what is
infront of his senses at the moment of writing ... I am a
recording instrument ... I do not pretend to impose 'story'
'plot' 'continuity' ... Insofaras I succeed in Direct
recording of certain areas of psychic process I may have a
limited function ... I am not an entertainer...

... Gentle Reader, The Word will leap on you with leopard
man iron claws, it will cut off fingers and toes like an
opportunist land crab, it will coil round your thighs like a
bushmaster and inject a shot glass of rancid ectoplasm ...

... The Word is divided into units which be all in one piece
and should be so taken, but the pieces can be had in any
order being tied back and forth, in and out fore and aft
like an innaresting sex arrangement. This book spill off the
page in all directions, kaleidoscope of vistas, medley of
tunes and street noises, farts and riot yipes and the
slamming steel shutters of commerce, screams of pain and
pathos and screams plain pathic, copulating cats and
outrages squark of the displaced bull head, prophetic
mutterings of brujo in nutmeg trances. snapping necks and
screaming mandrakes, sigh of orgasm, heroin silent as dawn
in the thirsty cells, Radio Cario screaming like a berserk
tobacco suction, and flutes of Ramadan fanning the slick
junky like a gentle lush worker in the grey subway dawn
feeling with delicate fingers for the green folding crackle
"

some more Burroughs...

THE TICKET THAT EXPLODED ( Olympia Press, Paris, 1962)

It's all done with recorders -- The sound track ... I
recorded ten alternative answers to any question from the
interview framework ... I extended the principle of absent
control to other activities -- I dedicated the necessary
orders, counterorders and alternative moves for any
operation ... I recorded the dialogue and made an image
track to go with it ... The interviewer can of course apply
the same method -- That is record his questions and
alternative questions ... Lovers exchange tapes -- You
understand nobody has to be there at all -- So why ask and
why answer? -- Why give orders and why make speeches? -- Why
not leave your tape with her tape and dispense with sexual
contact? -- And then? -- Since no one is there to listen,
why keep running the tape? -- Why not shut the whole machine
off and go home? -- You can look any place -- No good -- No
bueno -- Departed have left no address -- It's all done with
tape recorders.

From 'Invisible Generation' (a chapter added to 'The Ticket
That Exploded' in 1967)

Look around you look at a control machine programmed to
select the ugliest stupidest most vulgar and degraded sounds
for recording and playback which provokes uglier stupider
more vulgar and degraded sounds to be recorded and play back
inexorable degradation look forward to dead end look forward
to ugly vulgar playback tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
what are newspapers doing but selecting the ugliest sounds
for playback by and large if its ugly its news [ ... ] this
ugly vulgar bray put out for mass playback you want to
spread hysteria record and play back the most stupid and
hysterical reactions.

... The first step is to isolate and cut association lines
of the control machine carry a tape recorder with you and
record all the ugliest stupidest things cut your ugly tapes
in together speed up slow down play backwards inch the tape
you will hear one ugly voice and see one ugly spirit is made
of ugly old prerecor

made of ugly old prerecordings the more you run the tapes
through and cut them up the less power they will have cut
the prerecordings into air into thin air.

The main thing that turned me off of naked lunch is a few
reviews saying it was about very explicit homosexuality,
most of the reviews gave a lot of weird praise though... I
have too much accumulating things I've yet to read
anywho..., I'll probably check NL out eventually though.

Is the email at your mp3.com site correct korben? (it's
always a pain to find your artist page heh heh, polxd?
polcxd? polxcd? *puts each in the mp3.com search engine as
usual... sort of like wremaxd (spelling?) the only way I've
ever found it is to go to big black sex cop and click on
that link.) I only want the pdf if it's not too much of a
hassle :) whutz a pdf?

mail) ->

hard to explain..but yeah..now I wont recommend it...
