Perfect Blue

I watched perfect blue for the first time last night, my
feelings about it are mixed. Very good animation and use of
sound and music and the abrupt ending was excellent.

However, I get the impression that the writer of the book it
was based on couldn't tie up all the loose ends rather than
planned it to pan out the way it did.
In a way it's good the way it's unexplained, but perhaps it
leaves too much to the imagination.

Still, a very good film, I'd give it 4/5

I thoroughly enjoyed it, which was strange in itself coz I
usually only like the Mecha ones (Evangelion, Gundam ,Orguss
etc)...
Was a very well written and animated film, but I agree with
the loose ends notation! Maybe shall have to get the book &
see what it was MEANT to go like!
Still....a thoroughly enjoyable film.....and I agree with
4/5....although 7.5/10 is more precise me thinks 8op

Sounds to me like you prefer the more action-packed ones
like I usually do!??

I agree, I didn't get why she didn't check herself into a
sanatorium...

I got 'Blood; The Last Vampire' on DVD, that was lame. I
mean i've been into Manga since 1991 and I like some
content. The end was crap, i was like yeah? so? I'm so gonna
have to sell these DVDs.

I got the first Vampire Hunter D and I have no idea what a
second one would look like but if the voices have changed I
don't want to know.

Project Ako 1 great! the rest don't bother, Samurei Pizza
cats are good too.

Not baaaaaaad!
Have you seen the trailers for Ninja Scroll?
That make absolutely no fuckin sense!
Apparently about 2 sword enemies in love with each
other....it is obviously written by someone who has yet to
see the film!!

Yes, I know -.- Total pap. I like to watch it in Japanese
with English subtitles to try and regain the lost detail.
The femmy bad guy with the wire is so cool.

Urotsukidoji the 3 hour uncut one is best but I dont have a
good copy of that yet. :/ I'd love the full one and will
have to get it.

Project Ako is one on my faves. The whole thing scans well
man, so funny and good ending. In the movies; "it...
it's..... THE KERNAL!"

If you like the Matrix and you like politics and mechas then
you will love Appleseed. You will need the comics too tho
because the vid only scrapes the very surface. Makes a good
point and a bit chilling but cool.

damn dude, i keep thinking perfect blue is either that movie
where steve buscemi is a director or the one where denis
hopper is a dirty pervert...

i got metropolis + altho the charcters remind me a bit 2
much of pokemon i thort it woz really good. it is different
from most animes tho. it is mayb a bit childish but wotch it
all the way through to the end + u will realise u just
watched sumthing well worth it.

blood woz visually really cool but 2 b honest the storyline
woz pants. + it woz so short.

i herd tho that it is only the first part of many stories
that will b released on her. that mite not b true tho

Yeah, Not very good at all. I miss the classics and this
'New wave' *shudders* Manga is turning into a pain.

There were some things in it that didn't seem to make sense,
but overall it was an enjoyable thriller, would be
interesting to see it made by David Cronenburg or someone..
