half a year ago i was about to get a job at university (a
'tutorial' it's called here, students for students) but it
all went down the river due to technical problems -
now a professor asked me to do a tutorial for a lecture by
him, and i said yes. the thing is i will have to eerrrmmm
'teach' 120 peeps!!!!!
ajhjjjj!!!

Oh man, that's great... but I couldn't do it... I can barely
talk in front of one person, let alone 120... I'd be a
mumbling stuttering oddball.

But I want to be a teacher, kind of, even if it goes against
my nature...

Good luck, but don't fuck up. Don't make yourself look like
an ass in frong of 120 people. ;-)

well 120 might be a bit overestimated, last year there where
at about 90, but one third didnt complete it, so assuming
that they all will try again it can be pretty close..
no i wont be an ass, my job rather is to help 'em out with
problems, it's just - standing on the other side ... whheeee

i'm looking forward to it now

It's not as difficult as you would think it is! Try and
keep calm...

I agree that it will be fine. 5 minutes into the lecture
most of the fear will be gone. If not, picture everyone
naked then you'll really be talking about electrodynamics.
;)

I was aked by a teacher to teach a small class of third year
composition-students about writing libretto's for opera's.
there were only about 7 people there and I almost pissed my
pants.. :)

I have lectured before and once you have got past the first
two minutes it is fine. The first two minutes are shit
scary.

Wow, I could NOT do that! Public speaking is my biggest
phobia. I hate it when more that 1 person at a time is
paying attention to me when I speak. I'd trip out.
Good luck to you!

Many of my professors at college had the charisma of a
styrofoam lunch tray, so i wouldnt' be too worried if I were
you. As long as you can project your voice clearly.
