As far as I am concerned it all comes down to who you want
to attract. I like women with jobs not students. My wife had
a job when we met. There is a reason why some people don't
have much money, it is because they are stupid.

i hate grababootie and pinch, overpriced clothing they payed
someone 2cents to make in Bangladesh. Malls suck, they
look, smell, are the same pretty much anyplace u go.
overpiced due to high rents.

in terms of chicks, if clothing is the only thing they like
u for, u'r better off with out them. Its pretty stupid to
associate people intelligence, values, opinions based upon
what/who they wear.

I hate yuppies as well. i live in a small town a few hours
away from NYC, so we get a lotta IBM head up around are way
cuz tis so nice and quiet. The look at u like u'r a tard
b/c u wear jeans and t's and not a $200 outfit and or drive
a BMW, if i ever hit the lotto, i'd never buy a car like
that wear those cloths, or associate with them....

i'd throw rephlex parties in the states...maybe
commission/fund that neuromancer thing...or maybe pay rich
to write me some songs...

Your elitist superiority complex keeps you smiling .

I dislike people who get everything through their looks,
well i am envious of them, and a lot fo the time they get
spoilt and i disliek the ppl themselves.

i think to hate someone becasue they look good is a bit
stupid. what iof they happen to look nice and are a good
person? ppl cant help it if they look nice.

as for dressing nicely, people who buy way overpriced
clothes to fit in are indeed lame, but dressing nicely to me
only means you liek to ...um...dress nicely.

i'll probably grot back my goatee and long hair and walk
around in suits with a cane and long coat tails and stuff
when im older, though.

i think hating someone coz of the way they look is fuckign
elitist.

i dont hate ppl for doing this but i hate the rapper/r&b
look, it's so fake, irritates me.

and yeah the punk look rocks. and they got comfy shoes!

"The beauty is on the inside "

So maybe that smelly dirty man who lives nextdoor, is in
fact a very nice person...
well, maybe he is, but I won't go talk to him to find out.

(This was an example.
I have very nice neighbours.)

postmodern minimalist furniture, drive a Lexus, have a
washboard stomach, a 12" dick, a model girlfriend, hundreds
of friends. You hate me, I like it.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, not all pretty people are
popular and you cant define beauty. It boils down to so many
varying facts it's impossible to calculate.

I have long black hair, The girls around here don't like
that but I'm still complimented on my looks when I go out
and about. I wear a long black trench coat but I'm not a
Goth. I have been told I look very attractive but I have no
idea. I do have a good job working for a company in
California but my skills got me this job and most certainly
not my looks. Most 'trendy' people I work with think I'm a
geek and a total looser but outside of that around Goths,
gays, skaters and a few other misc groups I'm classed as
attractive and interesting.

I note this only so I can balance how to approach someone
only and it only seems to be a factor for that. My boss
thinks I should get my hair cut. You just cant say pretty
people always get far cause it's just one of those things.
You are more likely to get further if you step over others.

All this IMO only okies? The main thing I'd get across is
that in nature if a bird is born with a defect it gets torn
apart by other birds. So if you look like an outcast you
gonna get treat like one like it or not. Hence me being a
cold bitch most of the time. I never fit in but I ensure I
get far and normally do.

Also, when people are in a group they act different to when
they are alone. I'm going totally all over here so I shut up
now. Something for you to pick to bits if you like.

Not that long ago. I have short hair sometimes but mostly
long. I like long hair a lot as long as it's clean and
healthy.

and why give a shit what shirt someone is wearing?
getting worked up over that is just as fucking stupid as
wearing someone else's name on your chest.

if any of you have tons of money the first thing you will be
doing is run to prada and get clothes
dont say bullshit cause you cannot afford a $300 belt
if you got the money or know how to shop around you can look
good, pretty and attractive

offline Quernstone from Padova (Italy) on 2002-08-15 16:43 [#00350992]

When you buy Prada you are buying quality. The product will
have been constructed by a craftsperson, not an underpaid
child in a developing country. YOu choose.
We all love people that are allowed to develope there skils
do we not. Have respect for these people and buy Prada,
Gucci etc...

'mainstream' there is a whole host of young talent out
there. They are artists in there own right, but they don't
come cheap.

i can really be obsessed with clothes, for example the
jacket i'm wearing in my pic; the fabric, the colours, all
of it.
Before you throw me out from the board, i just wanna
clarify.
I can be obsessed with clothes the way i can be really
obsessed with an album, a bassdrum sound, a cool building, a
film, the misshaped tree in my backyard and so on etc etc
The interest of clothes doesn't always have to do with
vanity and stuff, not for me....not exclusively anyway;)
clothes is art for me, it can be a comment to the world
around you, the life you live etc, and that can be as
interesting as listening to an album IMO.
It's a total misconception that being interested in clothes
is tightly linked to being fashionable and the opposite of
being a down to earth guy...it's understandable though,
since there are a lot of people buying clothes for the
brand, to get respect or whatever...

I didn't bother to read the complete thread, but can someone
tell me why you should hate someone else based on income or
looks?

Hell ,I couldn't care less if someone rides a porsche and
dates a supermodel. Good for him! Clothes are a way to
express yourself , I can't get upset over piece of
silk/cotton/linnen.

If anything I state here sounds ignorant, it's because I am.

far from liberating , there are many pressures produced by
having money ...to conform to lifestyles which are
necessarily expensive . Go on ; exhaust yerselves ......
Take yer money, wank it away on your overpriced labels like
insecure consumer-monkey suckers . YOU are stupid. YOU are
being conned . I spend my money on things which improve my
life, not my wannabe social status.

Poor=stupid ? Ahah...explain why almost every artist
produces their greatest work from nothing. Every numb-nut
aristocrat & politician on the planet has millions of
dollars . Decadence killed Rome , now watch it kill America
