Aphex Twin - Classics, Nice hard beats, crazy synths. Well

Classics.

I'd say Richard d.James Album.
You better go to the explore section of this site, listen to
some samples from the albums.

I like classics. Expert Knob twiddlers is good, but I
wouldn't call it "insane rawkus fuked up beats " so it may
not be for you.

Expert Knob Twiddlers is quite mellow.

Hard Normal daddy can kick off a bit but classics holds the
kick drums down hard!

Ah, don't know it. I've always been crap with street names.
There's not a lot to do but I really miss the place
sometimes. Have some good memories.

I'd get Braindance. Its cheap and can lead you on to other
stuff.

RDJ Album........ thats my FAVORITE
Classics
Samurai Math Beats
Clarence Park

I think those are the best for "cool beats" and "metal acid
synth squelches"

Venetian snares has the best "cool beats and metal acid
synth squelches" IMO. Check out Making things orange.......
or doll doll doll..... or some of his newer stuff.... Ultra
Higgens Glue Funk.....

"wots geometry like"

I like to call it extreme digital fuckedupness. Mike
Paradinas set up Planet µ in the first place to bring out
Jega's records.

really, you love it.

d/l a track called "recursion", or "geometry" - they
represent the album quite well.

and I agree with recycle - get everything by autechre.

I say definitely get Classics and Meat Beat Manifesto's
"Actual Sounds + Voices" one of the coolest and strangest
records you'll hear in a long time, I guarantee it.

hey everybody. i got loadza cds last nite. i got:

autechre-tri repentae
squarepusher-hard normal daddy
aphex twin-classics
aphex twin-come to daddy
chris clark-clarence park
braindance compilation
jega-geometry

i also ordered the gantz graf dvd but it wont come 4 a
couple of days

now i no sum ppl r gonna get upset wen i say this but i
honestly thort classics sounded really dated. about 3 of the
tracks were pretty cool but i really expected sumthing
better after listening to tracks like cock-10 etc. off
drucqs.
come to daddy i knew id like but id herd it all b4 but 4 5£
i had 2 get it. i loved jega-geometry (really really cool) +
autechre definitely woz well worth buyin. the braindance
compilation woz ok 4 a 5ver + gave me more of an insite to
wot rephlex woz like. after listening to the bogdan
raczynski track i think i def hav 2 get samurai math beats.
o yeah + squarepusher woz good altho there were 2 or 3
tracks which really sucked (altho on the whole it woz a
pretty badass album). i quite like chris clark as well. out
of all the albums i bort i hav 2 thank every 1 4 advising me
2 get autechre and jega. i luv those albums

i think i am gonna hav 2 get autechre-autechre but ive herd
incunabula is a bit shit. i mite get jega-spectrum as well.
bogdan raczynski seems like a musthave at sum point + ive
herd so much about venetian snares as well.

I initally thought classics sounded dated, as does surfing
on sine waves, but after a few listens it'll probably grow
on you :)
