"Rest Proof Clockwork!!

Definately their finest album.

I'd say Double Figure to start with, thats how I started

double figure for sure, than rest proof and not for the
threes. p-brane doesn't do it for me.

rest proof clockwork was my jump into plaid and warp world
all together,so it's very important for me.not for threes is
lovely as well, from double figure up to p brane plaid have
shiftwd to something closer to ae stuff with less melodies
and lot of beats, kind of electro i could say...for now they
are one of my fav groups, superior to boc,but i've noticed
i'm one of the few who has this opinion

from what i've heard i might like plaid better than boc too

offline gyroscope on 2002-08-12 18:35 [#00346021]

probably because they seem to make happier music or
something.

offline Riccardo from somewhere beyond the ultraworl on 2002-08-12 18:37 [#00346026]

it's difficult to compare two different kind of music, but
plaid show more ideas, they make complete music, they don't
need vocals or such even if in the fisrt album there are
some vocal tracks

oh
i preffer boc better than plaid, i think they are in a
superior dimension...
but thats maybe cause i dont like "happy" music.

I'd start with Not For Threes and then move on to the Peel
Sessions and Double Figure. Rest Proof Clock didn't do it
for me.

And I second that Plaid comparison, they do indeed show many
ideas.

Double Figure
Not For Threes
Rest Proof Clockwork
P-Brain EP
Trainer (For there earlier works... pretty decent)

But I did not like the peel sessions that much at all.....
pretty generic IMO

double figure!!!!

i'd recommend p-brane, but 4 tracks isnt enough to really
quench your thurst imo...

I've got Double Figure but I don't like it..... for now that
is.

Cause its not fitting in with my Venetian Snares craze I'm
going thru at the moment. ;)

I wouldn't say Venetian Snares is scary, he is JUST insane

And I must say your avatar (Gyroscope) is very nice and
friendly (I love it), think I'll put some Ranma ½ image for
my next avatar...
