i understand the point he is trying to make, but the language is romanticized nonsense....... why is the wild animal "courageous" ?.... so without government men would be more courageous... you would still have the aggressive assholes forcing their will on others, stealing and fucking people over either way, with government or without. is he trying to say that it would be better if all the meek just died? |

No, he is saying that Governments rule by making the populace obedient and that their goal is to abuse people, not to help them. Courageous people stand up to "aggresive assholes", who are usually in the minority. And yes, without government, humans would be more courageous, because Governments rule by fear. And I don't see how you could extract "it would be better if all the meek just died" Maybe you misdefined some of his terms. And a metaphor is very often poetic. It would be a dreary world without. Oh, and if the language was nonsense, how did you understand the point? I guess it DID make sense after all. |
