I just thought it was funny cause I'm listening to a radio
station at nin.com and Come to Daddy comes on. It's on
trents favorites station as we speak...

Yeah, but it's seems kinda of odd to hear AFX on any kind of
radio station. Even one on the internet. Especially since
it's based out of america...

Trent is at the top of the biz, and anyone who's gone to a
NIN concert knows he's sheer genius. NIN and Aphex go well
together, and if they ever did a tour together it would be
the best of all time. That's just my opinion though.

i agree w/ teknot. It would be awesome if rdj and nin
performed a few songs together....imagine rich performin nin
tracks or vice versa live??!?

at that time trent was into some strange stuff>things were
sort of at the verge for him i believe.
you can hear it in the fragile, which is a statement of
those times in itself!
trent adn RDJ are of the same vein>the really bloody one in
movies that splatters on teh screen and makes you move in yr
seat!
i like that vein!

i think trent is somewhat responsible for a small percentage
of aphex's fame. let's say 3-5%.

whaen trent reznor hosted a "select video clips for a few
hours... then we play nin clips for a further couple of
hours" he chose aphex twin - come to daddy and suare pusher
- come on my selector

syx: i played aphex twin on each weekly radio show i had
last year. that's an extreme, but i've heard afx on other
people's shows and on other stations. it's mostly college
radio of course but he's pretty well liked, and not just by
electronica fans.

anyway, trent is really into aphex twin - SAW2 was played
before nin came on stage throughout the 2000 fragility tour.
plus RDJ contributed to the further down the spiral album as
people here have noted.

RDJ said a couple years ago he'd like to tour with nin but
it seems to be like he might have just been taking the piss
cos he knows trent's such a fan of his. i don't know that
RDJ likes him at all. i've read that he'll remix tracks by
people he likes and those he doesn't like he'll just give
them old unreleased tracks. FDTS has 2 such tracks (at the
heart of it all and 1/2 of beauty of being numb). that's
probably why trent didn't ask him to tour with him, remix
anything from his last album, or do a proper collaboration.

anyway, what else is on trent's current playlist? i hear he
changes it frequently. i've only checked it once and it had
some great songs, unfortunately i already knew all of them
and owned them on cd. they included:

blur - battle
david bowie - ashes to ashes
handsome boy modeling school featuring del tha funkee
homosapien - magnetizing
kool keith - fu-m.f.

He has SAW 2 track 1 on disc 2 I think.
Helmet - In the Meantime
I'm not familiar with the rest at the moment...
