Opinion - Aphex remixing?

decided this should be its own thread.. not going to annoy
you with a current tally of the answers, but will keep in
mind cause goddamn I need a project in between my own
tracks.

COMPLETELY IGNORING the obvious credentials you'd need to
pull it off right, what Aphex track would you most like to
hear remixed. I have to think about this before answering
myself, but curious to hear thoughts.

I've gotta few,

XTAL
INKEY$
Ruhbarb
Icct hedral
Xepha

I'd really like to hear the entire 'classics' and ABv3
redone, the sound quality sucks :P

I was thinking there's probably alot of fun to be had with
INKEY$...
Rhubarb has alot of space to do something new with it but
it's so chill
and really beautiful as it is I'd feel bad.

I don't believe no one else has any opinion on this.

bin...have you checked out the custom remixes section of
this site?...there's a ton of remixes people here have done
of AFX tracks for downloading...

i think it's funny, cuz in my head the simple question is,
how can you remix his tracks?

It's hard enough to change up words and stuff in a song,
maybe add a breakdown or extra chords, but iono.

I think of AFX as building on itself, and if you remix one
part, you redo all the rest, and you won't have anything
like the originally anyway.

I think it lends itself to offshoots of personal creativity
rather than a true remix, which couldn't be much more than a
retry.

i have seen the custom section, just curious anyway. still
have yet to listen to more than a few of the custom ones.

and granted, everything BlatantEcho says is true.. I don't
know if you can truely remix his stuff, keeping layers
intact enough for it to be anything more than a retry or
just shoving effects on top of cut up music.
Only one way to find out, being the tweaky stubborn bastard
that I am.

IZ-US remixed by Theo Parrish.
Windowlicker remixed by The Avalanches
Or maybe loads of the early stuff remixed by Rich himself so
they sound better.

v-vm helpaphextwin 1.0 this is a remix album that is
slightly interesting. Alot of piss taking in it and it's
really not completely meant to be taken serious I don't
think but it's neet.
