I'm not gonna really get into trying to describe his music
but rather, about how it is described (!)
It all come from a documentry i saw on Sydney Pollack and
one I saw on Warhol too. There's nothing as interesting as
seeing an artists contemporary's talk about their work,
their life, their drives and desires. Little anecdotes about
what shaped them, how the media portrays them and what
their art has brought to the world that loves it. The one on
Pollack on BBC2 2 nights ago showed a freind of Pollack
really articulate the passion and the mastery he witnessed
in his peer. Wouldn't you love to see a reknowned composer
or producer talk about our braindance freinds, especially
Squartepusher and AFX. I hosestly velive these guys are the
stuff of Einstein, Picasso, DeCartes etc. The world should
know!

I would like to hear all the details of Tom's and Rich's
homoerotic liason of some years back.

I saw a doc.on electronic music called "modulations" a few
years ago that featured SP a little bit but i'm talking
about a BBC-type academicly minded, non-yoofy deal presented
by David bleedin dimbleby or something!

John Peel or Jules Holland would be good...but i'm thinking
someone of high authority............who knows the
significense of their work - who you can tell is profoundly
effected by it...a knowing passion, someone who knows. that
their sound is to music what the monolith in 2001: A Space
Odyssey is to an ignatious rock on the prehistoric valley
floor! (i love that analogy and don't think it too far
fetched!) Someone who does 'know Squarepusher'.......boing

I remember seeing a program years ago on BBC where they had
people describing Aphex. The show from what I remember was
actually about drum and bass but people kept referring to
Aphex.

I remember Bjork saying that he is the only musician she had
heard who could make chaos sound beautiful.

the first time i saw Aphex on TV was on BBC- John Peels
Sound Of The Suburbs, and he was being interviewed in a
field in Cornwall by John Peel. They were sitting on rocks
and I think some other guy was there (Luke Vibert maybe). I
can't really remember it i was only about 12
