I've been listening to this little gem a lot the last
while... it's amazing... such a relaxing and beautiful cd...
it sounds pretty simple, but there is so much emotion and
beauty there... I still don't think RDJ has made a better
song then Tha... from what I've heard... I dunno, there's
just something special about this... it's almost like I feel
special to listen to it, like it's an important album, and
special one... I dunno, I think it's one of his best!!

it just goes to show how diverse, and good at the different
styles RDJ is that I would put SAW85-92 and Drukqs in my top
3 Aphex Twin releases... they are totally different, but
equally good for different reasons...

in Tha at around 6:40 where the synth slowly fades in I
almost cry every time... it's so gorgeous, and sad...

It's bass line is the melody. The song is bassed off that.
Most songs he has done like that end up hard core, Im glad
to hear some thing planned out like that come out emotional
and beautiful. Most of SAW 85-92 fit those characteristics
though. The only thing that still puzzles me is waht year
each track was made. I want to know which were made in what
years. I can tell that Green Calx is obviously the newest
on there, but I'd like to know the oldest. And I would love
to hear RDJ's first song! I wouldn't be surprised if it
sounded much like SAW 85-92

Delphium has the sweetest beat ever. All the congas through
the song loaded with echo. Ptolemy's beat is classic. 80's
drums! Fuck yeah! I can recreate that rhythm perfectly
with a TR-808 and TR-707. But, I'm sure thats what RDJ
used, himself.

this was the first aphex twin album I wanted... way back in
April of 2001 I went to the store to get it (not knowing it
was an import at the time) and got InSides by Orbital (my
first electronica album) because SAW95-92 wasn't there... it
wasn't until November or so that I finally ordered it in,
and I didn't get it till last march... it took me forever to
get it, but I did!!

hope you enjoyed my story!! :)

I remember when i started to listen to aphex and downloaded
some songs with my old crappy 28 modem. I downloaded some
songs from the "saw" and i still think they arent that good.
some tracks, but the hole thing is just dated and old. there
are some enjoyeble tunes there that i like, but overall, not
that great!
