playing right now,......................

er,..ermm,.......okay(?)

mmmmm,.....fast / crazy / wicked action packed beatz

in short : "I don't like it" :-(

maybe I'm just getting 2 old for this,....

In my opinion it's lacking depth,&.progression. Essential
emotions,....I'd like 2 hear the track speed up, till all U
hear is a beep sound,...mingle with it so it transforms into
a melody ,.and throw a slower beat in it.

but thats coming from someone who eats his own crap ,sooo

One of the main reasons it's so at once striking is fruity
loops lets you make stuff LOUD! I just made a new song I
thought was good but it's like 1/4 the volume of yours,
stupid modplug. By the way, I hate the universe... and I am
part of the universe, therefore the universe hates itself.

I'm tired making music with shit technology. I should just
stop until I figure out how to use something much better or
realize some concept much easier. I should just play
videogames instead, I hate making music anyways. Why bother
when Lp5 already exists? I wanna kick the computer in the
nuts and tell it what to do without having to push a bunch
of buttons. Stupid interactive computer and friend
substitute. Do I really have to learn a bunch of cryptic
crap like c++ just to talk to you? I hate you. If computers
are any reflection of nature, then nature sucks and I
withdraw from it by inverting all my bodily molecules and
willfully use my own leg as a golf club to smack me into the
nearest black hole.

relax wMw..you are an amazing musical talent..I am
constantly in awe your imagination..

re: volume..I suggest something like a basic..free ware wav
editor like Audacity at www.webattack.com..once you have
exported a wav from modplug..process it through the wav
editor..you can boost the volume..apply effects and do loads
of other things...

I've found that with Modplug, if you export each of the
channels (or groups of channels - like the whole song
divided up into different parts) seperately as *.wav files
and then mix the *.wav files using a program like Cool Edit,
the end result is most-times much louder and better quality
than converting all of the channels together.

I've evolved an accumulating idea over time, let us
conveniently define music as patterns. For maximum patterns
and maximum brain activity "figuring them out", there must
be multiple patterns in the time line simultaneously and the
best way is to have every pattern part of the same whole.
I'm just being stupifiamably confusing, ignore that and read
this: take what you made here and now (however your software
works)... warp the entire song so it's exactly the same
(same tempo too) except for one specific quality, mutate the
sound somehow...

Now you have 2 songs: original, and warped.
Now alter between these two songs IN A PATTERN something
like 1,2,2,1,2,1,2,2,1,1,2,1,2,1,2,2 repeat repeat... etc...
now make some other quality and make a new pattern... the
point is that all the patterns don't interfere with the data
from the other patterns.... you need universal qualites to
warp, like panning changes can be applied to anything, no
matter how it is already warped by some other effect.

That also avoids the distortion you'd get if you just
amplify the finished song with a wave editor...

V- good idea! Actually, you can save the ENTIRE song as the
usual annoyingly quiet wav... then take many SAME copies of
that wav into cool edit?

The exceedingly annoying problem I have with volume using
these stupid software programs is if you amplify stuff too
much, it choppes off the uppermost and lowermost portions of
the wavs (you can see the visual picture of the wav, and the
highest crests become cut off... especiall if you make a
stereo song with lots of different volume levels- that
maximizes annoyance)

My question: if you can turn up the gnob on your stereo and
get perfectly exact copies of the sound but at a louder and
louder volume, why can't you do it in, say, modplug tracker
without chopping off wavs??

I did it! I actually downloaded it!! (now I have to let it
sit in my hard drive for awhile, we have to become
comfortable and tolerant of eachother's prescenses before we
can take part in any software/human relationship) I'm so
nervous, I havn't tried new software in so long, I hope
modplug isn't jealous!

the last electronics calss I took was a decade ago but the
amplification on a stereo has little to none to do with the
actual wave form..it increases the amplitude of the out put
of the audio to the speaker analoguoullally...

Well it SOMEHOW succeeds in making the molecule vibrations
more exagerated/amplified... Maybe the freeware only comes
with the middle part of the waves, you have to pay more for
the tops, kind of like how they charge a lot for razors but
the actual shaver doohichy is cheap *8P

"Actually, you can save the ENTIRE song as the

Aye, I've done that many a time, but not to amplify. It's a
really gravy effect to take two or more copies of something
(differed by effects, of course or not...) and slam them
into the multitrack portion of Cool Edit. You can then use
those little enveloupe lines to make them pan around each
other and dance... or use the volume lines to make the fade
in and out... or... or... or... ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!
