My parents went to see them on their last ever concert, about 10 years ago.
I love how bands do this.

Fuck yeah!
The Who were my favorite band, until I got into the Beatles. I think Pete Townshend is just slightly less Godly than Lennon, that big nosed genius is the man. The MAN.

the show ROCKED
it was opened by the lead singer for led zepplin, and his new band, and was very good. He even did an encoure, since the crowd wouldnt stop cheering
and then the who were just phenomenal! ive never really listened to much of thier stuff, apart from the classics (who are you, baba orielly etc) but now im definatly gonna look into more of thier stuff!

The Who were one of the first to extensively use synths for their !971 record Who's Next... thou hardly anybody seems to think of them as being pioneers of electronic music, the songs are evidence of Townsend's ambition and creativity...
i can't believe they actually toured after the bassist Entwhistle died the day before the tour.... all for the money

I saw them with entwhistle on his last tour. he was one of the best bassists in the world. I love the Who Heaven and Hell is a great song. it isn't on any of the albums but if you get Live at Leads it's on there.
pure energy. and I love keith moon's drumming. fast and manic as all get out.

if they just 'wanted to play' and weren't concerned about money then tickets wouldn't be at such enormous prices

well, if they didnt have to pay for the road crew, the lighting, the amplification, etc etc etc they wouldnt charge so much
alot of times the bands have to pay for this shit. and it costs a FUCK load.
everything isnt black and white in the world you know. there are alot of variables
