The August issue of themilkfactory (themilkfactory.co.uk)
is now up and features a lengthy interview with Andy
Dragazis, the mind behind Blue States, and Tahita “Ty”
Bulmer, the voice of the band. Ahead of the release of the
second Blue States album, Andy and Tahita talk to
themilkfactory about the new Blue States sound, the wave of
chill out bands that have emerged since the release of
Nothing Changes Under The Sun and life in Brighton.

Also this month, read about Murcof and Manitoba live at
London’s Cargo, and about new albums by Blue States, Raoul
Björkenheim/Ingerbigt Håker Flaten/Paal Nilssen-Love,
Cursor Miner, Dirty Vegas, Melodium, Trygve Seim/Øyvind
Brække/Per Oddvar Johansen and Ti-cal, plus five
compilations, including Nobody’s Diary, AI Records’s
Produce, Warp’s Magic Bus Tracks, Sonar 2002 and Dublab
Presents: Summer.

On top of all this, check out the download section for
exclusive Blue States, Murcof and Manitoba wallpapers.

blue states is so f*&king boring. I read a review of a show
at the eighteenth street lounge featuring nicola
conte/thievery corp/thunderball, and bluestates. As soon as
blue states came on stage the dance floor cleared lol.

Maybe Blue States is boring because it's music that's not
meant to be danced to. Ever conjur up that idea?

As for Blue States, Andy Dragazis is the best downbeat
producer that I have heard yet.
