I don't like them, and I hate almost every movie Jack Black
is in that I've seen, except for High Fidelity.

I have never laughed harder in my life than when I saw
Saving Silverman in the theaters. That is a damn funny
movie.

I also love Tenacious D. Funny lyrics and surprisingly good
music and vocals.

Good for what they are, I suppose.

They're certainly god's (or devils?) amoung men. Jack Black
is one of the funniest men alive, and the album is definetly
a party/stoner classic. I can't wait for the movie, it
probably won't be out for along time, but it's sure to be a
comedic classic.

All hail to the D!

Yeah heard some album when I was at a mate's house, not bad
stuff I remember (I was fucked tho)

Also Jack Black is a fucking champ.

I don't know anything about Tenacious D except that two
years ago at my high school someone (who still is unknown)
hijacked the intercom system and played some song with the
lyrics "I want to fuck you hard" or something at high
volumes over the intercom for the entire school! It was
fucking hilarious! It was right in the middle of some
debate about homosexuality as well.

That's fucking classic! Why didn't I think of doing that?
Oh yeah, I'm not in high school anymore. Well fuck my ass!

Anyways, that track is entitled Fuck Her Gently, and it's
one of the funniest songs in the world.

working in a backpackers in sydney where the people there
liked to repeat one tenacious d cd over, and over, and over,
and over, and over, and over, and goddamn over again has
made me cringe anytime i hear them.

which is unfortunate, they're apparently pretty good

The real problem I have with Tenacious D, the real
problem... is that I can't imagine the lyrics appealing to
someone who isn't a hormonal fourteen year old boy who's
just discovered all the different terms for sex. I don't
like to act pretentious or elite, but it's truly pathetic.
That and I was forced to listen to them during many a Music
Technology lesson, because some of the people in my group
thought "There's spinach in your teeth / I'll help you get
it out / that's fucking teamwork" was the hight of comedy
genius. :/
And I truly hate American rock, so the music doesn't appeal
to me either.

i like the songs from the show, but i hate the album..
seeing them perform the tracks on the show makes a big
difference too i think.

i dont listen to them any more but i really like some of
their songs... but because they are funny, not for any
serious reason.
