I remember this SP episode and the joke was that money and power leads to this sort of predatory behaviour. Maybe coz they feel almighty. I want to believe Neil Gaiman. The differences aren't that much, humans are just very good at spotting even the most subtle details of other humans. Like we can tell identical twins apart pretty easily. This includes subtle differences in thinking patterns. (again it's evolutionary!) if I can spot that one of your ears is a just a little longer than the other, I can rule you out as a mate due to your disgusting genetic deformity that would likely be passed on to my child. |
