oh yeah sorry that wasn't for you! As I said the specifics
are theoretical anyway, explaining what drives a celebrity
or anyone operating a very high skill level etc. (It's Sex.)
I think it's a good theory and I do subscribe to it.

i mean if we're doing good faith, feel there's a bit of a
tonal difference between "unwanted touching" and "subjected
her to painful sex"/"sexually assaulted her within hours of
their first meeting", no?

I'm not wasting another minute on a demented cunt who
intentionally distorts your argument and then says "[rape]
sounds good to you?" Fuck off, you're worthless.

Why in the hell would you accommodate a rapist?

They
Should
Die
Immediately.

I remember this SP episode and the joke was that money and
power leads to this sort of predatory behaviour. Maybe coz
they feel almighty.
I want to believe Neil Gaiman. He’s been open about his
sexuality. But I just don’t know what to think. Seems like
once the accusations are out you’re done for. He seems
like a sweet man, charming even. But sometimes his
complexion gave off exhausted male pornstar look. I’m
shocked tbh.

Who here would condone rape? No one. So let’s not make it
about this.
I’m interested in wether people think his art is separate
though.

Ie should I throw away my Sandman collection or go through
it again like I had initially intended to before the news
broke out?

i know we are all having a bit of a laugh but really does
make you think what the significant differences between a
man and a woman actually are, especially since we all share
40% of our DNA with a banana

The differences aren't that much, humans are just very good
at spotting even the most subtle details of other humans.
Like we can tell identical twins apart pretty easily. This
includes subtle differences in thinking patterns.

(again it's evolutionary!) if I can spot that one of your
ears is a just a little longer than the other, I can rule
you out as a mate due to your disgusting genetic deformity
that would likely be passed on to my child.

When a fish man and a mermaidman lock eyes across the
room...

(They congeal together to form a spawning pool which
upgrades to a hatchery)

*do i have to burn everything by artist xy?
tbh i dont want to know what things artists do that i dont
approve of.
unless they are extreme examples of social misbehaviour that
i would feel obliged to boycot their fundings. and i dont
want to have to evaluate that on the basis of allegations.
as much as i hate it when seemingly every other artist has
some kind of allegations against them, every one of us is
free to decide for themselves where to draw the line. there
are public figures i cannot see the same way as before and
its right imo that they´ve publically fallen from grace, so
to say. its part of our learning process as a society to get
rid of terrible misbehaviour.

people should read the Vulture article, in this case, like:
not say he's okay just because they're uninformed

i think separating artist from their work ("death of the
author") is fine, really. usually it's more a question of
whether one *can*. i finished reading Norse Mythology, and i
couldn't stop thinking about the allegations, even though
they have not much to do with the text (i mean: these norse
people aren't too progressive, tbh)

p.s.: i only skimmed the article myself
