yeah, I like ON as well...directed by Jarvis Cocker of Pulp
fame...

There are some nice MPGs of it floating around but I believe
it's still available on video from WARP as part of
ComeToViddy (also contains CTD & Donkey Rhubarb)...wish
they'd re-release all these vids on DVD tho...

Oh yeah! I absolutely love the On video! One of my faves.
I've got it on the Come to Viddy VHS and would love to see
it released on DVD along with the Ventolin video (which I
have on Quicktime). I also believe Ventoline is on the
Japanese version of Come to Viddy.

yeah, i bought that VHS and to be honest, the video for ON
is pretty wank.
some of it is cool, but u get bored of it fast.

Interesting footnote about the On video:

In typical Jarvis Cocker fashion, he somehow lost half the
footage they made, and ended up looping and repeating what
they had to fill in the time of the song (hence why you see
things repeat themselves three or 4 times.)

The little doll in red in the foreground is supposed to be
Richard.

Another factoid: Richard has never appeared (in person) in
any of his videos - in On, he was a cardboard cutout, he did
not appear in any form in Donkey Rhubarb and Ventolin, and
that's Chris Cunningham on the telly in Come To Daddy. In
Windowlicker, it was a dancer with a mask (although he was
on the set playing chess while they filmed on location).

heh...the on video was the very first aphex i ever
heard/saw, on amp on mtv no less. didn't have any idea what
it was at the time, but thought it was great.

imagine my surprise when years (after getting into aphex
twin through the rdj album) later i discovered the mpeg of
on, and realized what it was.

You can get 2 aphex twin videos (no DVD, DAMN! oh well.... )
VHS that is, and one is just the windowlicker video, and the
other tape has 3 videos on it, ON, DONKEY RHUBARB and COME
TO DADDY. They are damn cheap.

the funny thing with amp was that at the time i knew fuck
all about electronic music, but later on realized i'd how
much it influenced my taste. especially since i saw FSOL's
we have explosive video...that one got permanently embedded
in my brain

Yeah, it it still available. I've bought it myself.

Something I meant to mention here after my recent trip to
cornwall was that someone had made lifesize "people" out of
flotsam (debris washed up by the tide) on the beach which
reminded me of the on video. Perhaps it's some strange
cornish tradition?
