it was a weird edit though...
pretty much just a loop.
no "fuck words of wisdom" rap stuff

why would nike use prefuse 73, how would people at nike know
this. i never understood how modest mouse, shins and now
prefuse 73 have all been in commercials. at least no one
will know its them (except people who already know them)by
hearing it since theyre werent lyrics to any of them.

well, it's good music. MTV always uses Basement Jaxx,
Radiohead, and Squarepusher for background stuff.

I think he wants to know how Nike came about choosing the
almost underground IDM-hiphop stylings of Prefuse 73.

what, are all the employees at Nike supposed to be lumbering
stiffs listening to the smooth licks of kenny g all day? In
any event, a marketing company would have chosen the music,
not Nike.

it's crazy, it doesn't fit really. prefuse 73 goes against
the norm but Nike tells you what is cool, ya know?

mtv shouldnt be allowed to play squarepusher as background
music. they dont play anything by him in the first place.
thats like saying ehh your music isnt good enough for being
in videos, its only good for background music. im sure mr
jenkison wouldnt like this. as far as I know spusher doesnt
have videos but if he did im sure mtv wouldnt even play
them.

even if i saw this commerical i wouldnt even know it is

too bad, you're really missing out

anyway, nike have good taste in music and directors. and
some mtv's (especially in europe) play electronic stuff
during the day, not only during their electronic speciality
shows. you hit the nail on the head tho, sqp only has ONE
video (currently) and it's old. why would they be playing it
in heavy rotation?

and didn't Nike recently pay Richard Devine $55,000 for a
track for use on their commercials...(about 20 seconds worth
I think, thru away the press release with the details but I
think that's right..)...

Good one, Rich...
