hi anyone here know what software aphex uses? i know he (like most people) uses a powerbook but any ideas what software he uses? cheers sam |

He doesnt use a powerbook no more, now he use a Sony Vaio. MAX/MSP, REACTOR, PRO TOOLS, LOGIC, VST plugs etc, etc DJ ing: Traktor / Reactor |

As well as that lot mentioned it wouldn't suprise me if we saw him use that new Final Scratch system in the near future...let's you play digital files using a special dummy 12" of vinyl...so you get all control of a normal analogue turntable... |

he's also got a Kyma, and he uses (used) the Composers Desktop Environment (CDP) by Trevor Wishart aswell. You also forgot supercollider (now my no1 favourite program) which he reckons he's written 600+ patches for. |

my guess is he hasn't traktor only runs on pc so that's why people have seen him with a vaio live when he's djing and surmised that he's switched. Switching from mac to pc mid life indicates some kind of computing crisis ;) |
