New compilation....!

offline manicminer from Paris (France) on 2002-07-18 15:25 [#00314672]

I'm going to do a mix compilation of people's tunes from
aphextwin.nu. When it's done, I'll share it on Soulseek.

So, if you have a tune you'd like to nominate, please reply
with a link!

The rules are:
1. Each person will nominate ONE tune. DON'T just give me a
link to a collection of your tunes, because I don't have
time to listen to them all. Just one tune per person.

2. The mix is going to be downtempo and chilled, so all
tunes must be between 80-110BPM.

3. I'm going to use approximately 10 tunes for the
compilation, on a first come first-served basis. The first
10 tunes I receive links to that are suitable and mix well
will be used. Any after that will not be used. I'll let
you know when I have all the tunes I need.

Sorry to be so formal with the rules, but it's the only way
it will work. And if your tune doesn't make it, it doesn't
necessarily mean I don't like it - it may just not fit into
the mix well.

Cool
Cheers
miner

Fucking hell dudes!

Loads of people complained when they didn't make it onto
Aktium's compilation, why's no-one responding to this idea?

OK thanks for the tracks so far - keep them coming.....

By the way, I've managed to stream your tracks from MP3.com
Chri5py and Ceri, but I can't seem to actually save the MP3s
to hard-drive. How do I do that? Clicking "Save Target As"
doesn't work....

offline manicminer from Paris (France) on 2002-07-18 17:41 [#00314939]
Points: 1423 Status: Lurker

By the way, fuck the BPM thing.....

One track from everyone, doesn't matter about tempo.

I don't really want abient tracks without beats as they
don't really mix that well.

I may give it a go, what program would you recomend for a
beginer?

Yeah Quoth, giz another one mate.

p0g0: For a beginner, I'd try Fruityloops. It's easy to use
and very powerful.

cool

when I've done one, I'll post my first ever track =oD and
you can have it as a hidden track on your album (it'll
probably have to be hidden lol)

OK I checked out MP3.com again and I was able to download
Ceri's track. But I can't get yours, Chri5py, it only
streams. Shall I use one of your other downloadable tracks?
The rules have changed now by the way: tempo doesn't
matter.

Thanks laquero, but I can't seem to download it - it just
streams.

COME ON PEOPLE! More tracks please!

I've got quite a few ambient-ish tracks now, with fairly
sparse beats, so some more beat-laden tracks would
definitely go down well.

I have 2 tracks shared on Soulseek. "Harbinger of Dark"
(aka:Heart Attack)" and "X 01". They are not complete yet.
HOWEVER, if you do enjoy what you hear and want a serious
track, I'll start working on them right away.

I've been working on this mix, and parts of it are sounding
quite good. I still need some more tracks though in order
to make parts of it "gel" more.

Beat-based tracks would be most useful.

Anyone else want to contribute? Perhaps people who have
already contributed could give me a second track?
