He now usually does his live performances with his trusty laptop, right, and also he did all of his production work for Druqks using a computer, and I only wonder what software did he use to produce it all?

I heard he creates a lot of the software he uses. This is Richard D. James we're talking about here though, don't know exactly how much stock you could put into that.

he more than likely just uses the laptop to transport tracks from his main computer to the gig and then adds live effects over what plays back?

lol @ Dingle Berry
Aphex probably has all different types of shit on his Laptop and i really wouldnt be suprised if he did have a version of Fruity Loops, some of the stuff you can do on that is like Aphex Twin, a great example is a song called 'Roastbeefbox' in the miscellanous section of the FLP loop files, on Version 3 of Fruity Loops
All you have to do is get a snare drum, put the BPM up to 360 - 999 and put the pattern down and your away with the faries

I've got Traktor. It's quite good.
Actually Jand, could you help me out? I want to be able to use Traktor to DJ live (i.e. cue stuff up in the headphones). To do this, you need to have a stereo output. I can't get it to work. My laptop doesn't appear to have true stereo, there's always some sound from the other channel. Is there anyway around this that you can suggest?
