I find it real difficult to be at work and not have at least
a window open here...don't know how I'd get on with a job
that wasn't computer based...

A colleague just walked by and caught me minimising a
window. I showed him and he had a chuckle. I usually post
here while waiting for a client to ring or while a modem
connects, so it's not like I'm wasting my employers time...

Hehe! :-)

As for me.

a)1 week - nope
b)1 month - nope
c)6 months -nope
d)1 year -nope

Why would you want to? This isn't CRACK, it's not bad for
you. It's therapeutic. I always laugh when people on
messageboards go ''this is my last post, EVER, people!!!'',
and they're back next week.

if I was on vacation then sure... but because I'm home here
in town and on summer break I'm usually around the computer
each day, so I end up here...

if anyone remembers, in february and march there was a
period of 5 weeks when my college LAN didn't recognize
aphextwin.nu or autechre.nu (phobia helped me fix it
eventually, it was really a strange occurence). i think
that'll be my maximum, but starting monday i'm about to miss
it for 2 weeks. when i'm gone for a day or two i always read
all the interesting threads since i was last on, but i don't
think i'll be doing that when i get back from my vacation
(so if anyone wants me to see something, bump it back up
when i get back or email me: howisya@hotmail.com)

i don't see the point in staying away unless you're on
vacation. it's not like smoking or molesting children. i
mean. drinking.
