hi all...i was wondering if anybody had heard the envane ep
and if it's any good...i ordered it recently for the cost of
about two lps and am curious if this was a good
purchase...what do you think of the record and how does it
rank with the rest of ae's arsenal?

envane is an incredible sort of hip hoppy autechre opus.

its not as deep as ep7 but it is groovy.

I like that ep, it's a bridge between their older and newer
stuff.

You paid too much, you can get the import autechre eps for
about $9 + shipping from forcedexposure.com.

i have yet to read a negative review of this EP. if you're
looking for a more in depth review though you should read
the reviews on amazon.com. yeah, amazon sucks, but their
reviews are very thorough and usually quite helpful.

envane is probably the best thing they have released, the
only criticism i could put against it is that all the 4
tracks sound quite similar, but that is cos they are all
from the same starting equation: the eagle eared among you
may have heard the envane sample on drukqs...

Envane sample on Drukqs? Hmmm...not bloody likely...

Regardless, any true Autechre fan will relish this handsome
EP.

*thumbs up*

At least you thought of them as a duo, instead of "how many
people do they need to play all those weird
instruments?"...

;P

my roommate thought of it... hehe, who cares... I've only
listened to it twice or so, but it sounds pretty killer...
lots o nice stuff there!

and is this hard to get? Hmmm, I bought it yesterday in the
store... hmmm, cool if it is!

I love envane. Most solid (not necessarily best) work they
have ever done.

I own them All on cd. Which set me back a lot cause they
were all imports.

Draun Quarter keeps me warm at night.

The 12"s of Envane are harder to find, as are all their
ep's. It's unfortunate, as I don't have Envane,
Cichlisuite, Anvil Vapre, Garbage or Anti on vinyl, (only on
cd) but I have everything else on both vinyl and cd.
