i know it sucks an ocelot!!! i donated.....and my d/l's seem to be going faster....but it may be all in my head.....ahhahahha if you have a debit card attached to your checking account in the US it works just like a credit card....i dunno if they have those in Europe yet. my canadian friend couldn't get one. =( |

from what i understand, nir doesn't need any more donations (though he's of course still accepting them), it's just a problem caused by the web server (unrelated to him or even soulseek). but yea this is past ridiculous now, slsk seems to have a lot of problems |

Not exactly. The winmx program connects you to its own sharing network, but also allows you to connect to opennap servers. Opennap is what remains of the original Napster network - there are around 100 public in operation. The server I'm running is a private opennap server - winmx is one way to connect to it, but there are about a dozen other clients that you can use as well. So there's really no connection between opennap and the winmx network at all. |
