but seriously, i wonder if somewhere in the world there's a comic who does his whole act in sign language? the language seems very limited to me (in terms of vocabulary and inflection) but it's certainly possible. it'd be very difficult to find that deaf niche of course.

hahah, I highly doubt it, just because of this reason. Plus, I think half of the fun of stand up is the modulation and impressions of the comic's voice. You can't do impressions in sign language. ;)
