1- The floating island in the sky in Chrono Trigger. Purdy
colors!

2- The best ending in Chrono Trigger, where you get to talk
to the developers.

3- The whole game. Best game ever.

I liked the Locke scenario in FF6... sneaking around town...
I used to name Locke ''Jay'', cuz I'M Jay, and I wanted to
be Locke. Cuz he's cool. You dig?

play otherwise.

Ohhh I LOVE emulation, it's a time warp back into the olden
days. I get the same buzz out of playing a rom as I do from
playing the ''real'' thing.

Hmm, emulation, MP3s, .AVIs... I'm a modern day pirate!

3) Crono's death

Final Fantasy 6 (or 3 for US version)

1) The island scene with Cid and Celes

2) Sabin and Edgar reminice about the coin toss

haven't been gaming rpgs for ages !
I would like to have time to play again.
My brother is a hardcore rpg gamer, and last nice stuff I
saw was :

Valkyrie profile
FF IX
-one I can't remember the name : the one with the 'dub
bears' village.

I love in Chrono Trigger where you're in the future, the
world's destroyed... snowy wasteland, cool freaky music...
the race with Johnny, the sewers, that gigantic guard
robot... that game was sent to us by God. It will never be
topped.

FF8 had bad gameplay, but a great story and AWESOME graphics
and sound. The gameplay sucked ass. Enemies gained levels
WITH you? And that dumb magic system...

But the story and everything else redeemed it, still a great
game.

Ending 1- 'Dream Team'

You get the 'Dream Team' ending one of two ways. First, you
could step into the right telepod and examine the sparkling
object BEFORE you get transported to 600 AD for the first
time. Like, before you even talk to Lucca, step into the pod
and examine the dot. This will transport you to Lavos'
shell, where you'll have to defeat all three forms. The
second way is to beat Lavos when you meet him at the Ocean
Palace.

The 'Dream Team' ending is kind of strange. You wake up
after beating Lavos at the End of Time. There are people
scattered everywhere and you can talk to all of them.
Actually, they are like bodies for the programmers. They all
have a message that the programmers wanted you to hear. Some
even have the names for you to see. After you talk to every
single person, the Old Man will let you into the room where
Spekkio was. Now, it's occupied by the Dream Team, Nobuo
Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoshitaka Amano, and Mr.
Sakaguchi himself. They tell you some wierd stuff and then
play the credits for you super fast. The End.

let's get some more memories!

FF4: when most of your buddies sacrificed themselves to save
you, parlom and parrom turned themselves into stone, Cid
exploding himself and i think somthing happened to that
shaolin monk...anyways...it was ulta bad ass when they all
came back in the end to help one last time!

FF4: when you're in mysidya and they all hate you, and turn
you into things like pigs and toads.

FF7: finding othopedic underware in tifa's dream

FF7: when sephiroth and cloud have that last dramatic battle
one-on-one and you bust out the omni slah!

FF6: KEFKA!!!! KEFKA!!! KEFKA!!!!!!! need i say more?!

heh, keep 'em coming guys!

I thought nothing could top the FF6: Half hour emotional
ending...

But then Crono Trigger came out with 11 different endings.

They are both masterpieces.

agreed. i STILL need to beat the original FF6, i've only
beaten the revised one for the ps1. and since the ending was
in cg, i'm pretty sure they were diffrent.

anyways...

i loved chrono cross, but they ruined that game with their
suikoden ripp off charecter engine! Did you know that guile
was suposed to be magus?! but since they had SO many
pointless charecters, they felt that they couldn't develop
his story well enough, thus no magus!

I used to play this Mud called Dark Castle, and well killing
other players that played it was great fun... with one of
the classes Monk, you could rip out the heart of the other
player, and so I'd run around ripping out peoples heart and
then I'd give it to them... or sometimes eat it... it was
great fun!!! :)

I guess Mario Brothers 3 isn't an RPG, but I had a great
video game experience with this game... I was at a friends
house one time, and there were maybe 20 or more people there
watching these two people playing in the eighth world for
the first time... it was great!!

The storm-scene intro to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the
Past. Just that sound of rain when you're inside your house
and then stepping outside - and then entering the castle to
hear the muffled sound of rain again. Not very impressive
by today's standards, but back when it was released it
really struck me and I get the same feeling everytime I play
it.

In Everquest, finally getting my rogue to level 46 (minimum
level to go to the planes) and getting my first piece of
Ravenscale armor, and my first 10 damage piercer.

But then I had to stop playing because that fucking game
took waaaaaaay too much of my time.

word up to tha mothership! i just found out that i have the
FULL 4 DISC FFX OSV! (japanese!!!!) in high quality VBR!
once soulseek is back up (make sure that i know) and you can
dl it from me! It's fuckign awesome! great tracks,
stupendous!

Sometimes, I enjoy the sndtracks to a good rpg better than
the game itself (even though I really like FFX) talk about
nostalgia...it's like playing the game, but not haveing to
wait all 80+hrs! and you get to really submerse yourself and
foscus on one single aspect.

goddamn life can be great. the highlight of my day!

oh thank you, whoever started this thread. i could talk
about rpgs for ages. here are some of my favorite rpgs, and
the parts i remeber most:

ff7:Aeris is praying, and down from the sky comes sephiroth,
with sword in hands. and then....its too sad to talk about.
cloud is too late.

ff8:Floating away, lost in space...lifeless. squall goes out
on a limb, with only his space suit and jetpack to save
rinoa.

ff9:zidane discovers his past on the moon.

ff10:Yuna and Tidus kiss in the twighlight

Legend of Dragoon:Dart descovers who his father is, and Rose
gets a suprise of her own.

Chrono Trigger:Chrono is killed, the prophet reveals his
true identity and purpose, and the kingdom of zeal
completely dissapears, in one night.

Chrono Cross:The truth is revealed in Chronopolis.

Seriously, i think Chrono Trigger had a huge impact on who i
am today, and all of the things i like today, i know it
sounds weird, but its true. The deep story was so amazing,
and then with chrono cross. it makes me giddy almost
thinking about those memories, back when i was like 12, and
i was sitting in my room, soaking it all up. aw...those were
the days. anyway, i think ophecks mentioned the future, the
way it was cold and snowy, and the music. yes, that was sooo
cool. and the music for those two games is really stunning,
considering that they were just video games. i read
something about a new Chrono game! can't wait! hope we get
to see more of magus...hehehe.

*busts out RPG Icon*

Hmmm, hard to remember all the best moments from all the
different RPG's I've played.

Exploring the Great forest in Secret of Mana where each
section of the forest had different seasons would probaly be
my favorite.

FF8 had a great story? Haha, I don't think having your whole
party growing up at the same orphanage as children only to
meet each other once again without remembering one another
is a 'good' story. A little to lame there.

Ah, I must say beating Revelations Persona after having it
for 4 years was a very nice RPG moment.

Another one that comes to mind is Saga Frontier 2 and how
Gustave and his relative Gustaf own about every damn thing
in the game.

And ontop of the fact that Masashi Hamauzu is one awesome
composer. Even the songs that he composed in FFX are too
good.

btw, this site here is filled with interviews/media and the
like of videogame composers.
