Phobiazero, why?

offline Monumrnt from To (Canada) on 2002-06-27 12:02 [#00286873]

See the thing is no rules for this message board have been
posted, so I see no reason why my threads are locked. Would
you explain it to me so I don't repeat the mistake for the
fourth time?

don't re-open closed topics...

totally pointless topics is just a waste of space and turn
this mb downhill sooner or later.

got that?

If you're going to have a "pointless" topic, at least phrase
it in a interesting, easy to understand way. So people might
respond and have a proper discussion.

Yes I know EXACTLY what you are saying.
I do agree with you!!

Quality instead of quantity from now on!

Ceri JC, perhaps such people should not discuss here at all?

Sorry, again, I don't quite see what you mean.

the thing is, people who have nothing interesting to say
shouldn't post at all, just because they are bored or
similiar...

Neither repeat what the others said.
Anyway, I think that would be going to an extreme, so I will
ask you to lock this thread as well, and maybe create some
rules for this message board if you will.

people usually learn the "hard way"... but guidelines will
be available in xltronic.

Yeah, a txt file just so people can't claim not to know
what's antisocial would be good.

Hey you didn't lock this useless thread!

why is it that at watmm.com posts are less likely to be
closed, yet this board has so much more pointless shit on
it?

I know there are more people posting here, but I think there
must be something more to it. maybe the format of this board
encourages more frivolous posts. plus, everything moves so
fast, what's the big deal if you're topic is shit and no one
replies, it'll move on down and be out of sight in no time.

Well for the sake of the blondes at heart, don't complicate
the MB in order to cut down on the crap. Though you do have
a good point, nene, maybe it's so easy to use people just
feel free to misuse? I'm torn...

i think the slsk chatroom has cut a lot of crap out, all the
better if we have a chatroom on xltronic, as has been
suggested before

True. when people are drunk out of their minds and they
feel silly, they'd try there first, I know I would!

I like both boards. It just depends what mood you're in,
really. If I get tired of one, I head to the other. I'm
surprised there's not more overlap in membership.

Each webmaster hates the others guts in a school playground
way, mutual love for electonics and mutual hate for the don
of the net skillz... It can only be good for us..

it would be cool if the site was automatically programmed to
wipe out garbage threads, but i guess it has to be done
manually for now, & that's what Phob & the moderators are
for...

This place is funner, funnier, and weirder, so naturally the
funny weirdos are going to post here rather than at the
relatively sterile WATMM.

I have a membership over there, I think I've got like 200
posts, but I haven't used it in months. I lurk there if
there's anything interesting.
