you know you're too much into idm when...

1 - normal people never talk to you about music
again, once they know what you're listening to.

2 - you play boards of canada to your children, as
lullabies.

3 - you look at the people who don't know afx like they're
coming from another planet...

4 - ...and they really think you're coming from
another planet, when they try to listen to your cds.

5 - your neighbours think you're renovating your flat/house
with alien instruments.

6 - your parents always make you spend your holidays to your
deaf grandparent's house.

7 - you can recognize any idm track (except the ambient
ones), simply by listening to a 30-second clip of its drum
part.

8 - the army wanted to arrest you once, thinking you were
building some nuclear weapon, whereas in fact you were only
playing 'confield' very loud.

9 - you own an official copy of 'twoism'.

10 - you would pay more than $10000 for owning the mp3
player richard lost on an airplane.

11 - in fact, you would pay more than one million dollars
for it.

12 - you're planting rhubarb on your garden, only because
richard seems to like it. you don't really like rhubarb, but
you force yourself to eat it.

13 - you have three donkey rhubear suits, an aphex twin
umbrella (i know some of you have... :)), and you're sparing
to buy the windowlicker limousine.

14 - you receive a box of fine chocolates every christmas
from warp records.

15 - you've already tried to morph the face of a girl into
richard's, only by dancing and spinning your afx umbrella to
her. oh, yeah, it didn't work, but you know why. that's
because richard has superpowers, everyone knows that...

1, 3, and 4 apply.. kinda sad, i used to be THE person
people came to about music, now people don't bother - and
when they do i get all embarassed cos i can't give them good
recommendations anymore cos what i listen to no longer has
anything in common with what they listen to..

Considering my ''CD shopping'' habits (Or lack thereof), I'm
surprised they don't send me anthrax.

...want more? :)

16 - the milkman always turns anxious when he comes around
your house, and he told his wife to avoid you as much as
possible "because you're a dangerous pervert"...

17 - you painted your car red hot when 'go plastic' came
out.

18 - ...and you painted your cock red hot as well because
you aren't sure about the lyrics. now your girlfriend thinks
you're insane.

19 - in fact, your girlfriend is almost as deranged as
you... hey, it's logical. how would a normal girlfriend stay
with such an insane guy?

20 - you want to be an asthmatic and take an overdose of
ventolin, just to know if it's like in the track...

21 - your secret code for your house is .215061, for your
car: .1993841, for your safe: .0180871R, etc... (if you
don't understand, these are the names of the tracks off
analog bubblebath 3! how come you didn't know that, you
ignorant cunt! go study your aphexology now!! ;P j/k)

22 - you made a t-shirt for every aphex pic you found (and
you had problems with the local priest for wearing the one
you made off that one :))

23 - ...but only a few people know this, since you're always
locked in your room, sitting at your computer, searching for
rare idm mp3s...

24 - "pop music? what's that? and who's that "britney
spears"? never heard of her, is she like mira calix?"

25 - you have a lizard as a pet, and you feed it with
pancakes.

do you reckon people who are into IDM can only be seriously
