Titsworth: I know that adoring fans is not the only catalyst
to elitism, I was just citing that as a specific example. As
humble as Radiohead is, I think it would be pretty damn
difficult to remain this way.

I think that no matter which way you look at it, there IS
elitism in IDM, but I think more by the artists themselves
than the actual fans. Is it fair to say that listening to an
elitist's music makes you elitist?

(btw - it is rather disheartening to know that some of your
favorite artists are/may be total dickheads =/)

classic film line:
life of brian, brian says to the crowd.
"You are all individuals"
they all shout
"yes, we are all individuals!"
one guy shouts out
"eh, i'm not"
they're all reminded..."oh yeah, he's not"

Ah.. bugger .. disconnected. - then decided to head for
bed.

I'll check that link now .. homosexual? Interesting, I would
have more thought along the lines of asexual? Oh well..

Jonesy:

Yeah .. i had me a listen to that Thievery Verve Cd .. Quite
bossa - nice enough (was a quick listen). Peace Orchestra
also has his new album out (RESET), unfortunately its a mix
album - was hoping for new tunes by Kruder. Might be worth
checking out though? Terranova also has a new 12" which is
quite interesting .. Stereo MC's mix on the EP (/single).

Re: homosexuality and Nietzsche - i'd be surprised if he
labelled himself that - as he was such a fan of ancient
Greeks - who used to get up to all sorts of stuff. All his
talk 'his' dionysus and apollo - (dionysus being the feral
one). I dunno - am sort of reminded of Foucalts notion that
homosexuality was invented.

mmhhh..

Interesting. Though i still think it'd be bending somewhat
(perhaps) Nietzsche into a homosexual on this basis. If
anything he strove to be a "healthy" bisexual? But
interesting enough.

His "madness" was due to syphilitic fissure no? Didn't know
bout the horse though. Cool cool.
