Favorite Rap Beats

I've seen everyone's favorite albums, but that doesn't
necessarily say who's beats are your favorite. I'm more
into that aspect of the music. I wanna know who i can
listen to without having to like their rap skills. For
example, House of Pain's rhyme skills lacked, but they had
production that made up for it.

house of pain turned out some good lyrics

They had some good lyrics, but if you have all three cds
you'll notice that Everlast uses an absoludicrous amount of
simlies in his rhymes.

i don't. just have the first two. but i'll admit all the
soul assasins seem to fall off their lyrical skill after the
first couple albums. it's weird, they all do it, like with
each album their lyrics get worse and worse.

Their third album has some good songs. I mainly like their
use of actual instruments though, like basses and drum sets
and the occasional brass.

I you can, check out these songs from a group called House
of Krazees:
Unconcious and Why.
Most of their other song's beats are awesome in my opinion
and they all have some factor in them that make them unique.

I know a lot of you may not like Eminem or Missy Elliot but
Timbaland did a fantastic job with the song "Bust a Rhyme

Xanatos,.....took the words outta my mouth,.....

also some of Dr.Dre's beats,.....I mean lyrically mediocre
if not weak ,but beatwise defenitely skillful productions.

I also like some of Diamond D's productions ,.Show & Ag
beatz

I second Xanatos - DJ Premier is the undisputed master of
the beats.

Need evidence:
MCs Act Like They Don't Know - KRS One
Nas Is Like - Nas
Full Clip - Gang Starr
Screwball - Seen It All

Honourable Mentions:
RZA, Pete Rock, Stoupe, Large Professor, Dr Dre and The
Alchemist

Check out Organized Konfusion, they're from the early 90's
and they have some really funky and jazzy beats. One of the
members was Pharoahe Monch, whom you might have heard of.
