i read on amazon.com that if you play both selected ambient works vol. 2 discs at once on two seperate stereos, it creates an awesome effect..unfortunately my brother's stereo seems to not work, so i cant use that one to try one disc on

We were discussing this on the old messageboard a few months ago. Did anyone actually do it? I can't, as someone pinched my SAW I and II CDs.

this sounds awesome. any specific tracks to try in pairs that work especially well, anyone? i wonder if we can do a synchronization thing a la Pink Floyd/Wizard of OZ with Aphex Twin's music. that would be loopy (in a good way of course).

i tried it a long while ago in an altered state, so my memory's not that clear on it, but it was really truly beautiful -- I think i started 2 with like a 30 sec delay -- thanks for inspiring me to try it again!

Yeah about that Floyd/Oz thing...I hate to steal their idea (if they did it on purpose) but me and my buddy are going to make a soundtrack to either the return of oz, or Willy Wonka.

Is it just me,.. or do the 2 cd's on SAWII played from the start simultaneously just sound, well right.... I don't mean it sounds good (though it does) but do you think that maybe he meant this? It's more than likely just my crazy imagination, but I'm almost certain that I'm hearing voices in it when certain sounds collide, and there also seems to be no instances where two tracks with any percussion double up, it always seems as if there is a "background" song and a "foreground" song playing, there's never any time where tunes cross to make a horrible sound, And I think that It's not a coincidence, and that it was intentional, I'm probably wrong, but what do you think about it all?

maybe this isn't a good judge of the two-stereo's at once, but since my bro's cd player wasnt working, i used my computers cd player and my discman..I couldnt notice much synching, i mean songs did end in time and maybe it was synching at parts but, then again it could be because i need to hear both well enough at once..i just turned the computer volume up more so i could listen to both

yeah,... there were parts where it just didn't sound right (eg. when "Rhubarb" and "Shiny Metal Rods" is playing) but in other bits It does synch when "mold" and "windowsill" are playing, but like I said before, It's probably just my active imagination, }:o
