Shit!

yesterday my g/f and I had to visit her father, who had
started to drink again. To see this man, just feeling sorry
for himself on his couch, and having to send us to go
shopping to get pills for him, was just enough. While we
waited on the pills, we stopped by the library. And i'm not
that big a book-reader, so instead of a book I found this
"Akira"-comic, and thought "what the hell...maybe I should
check it out". After 2 hours I managed to get through 3
Akira-books and I must say THAT COMIC IS LIKE THE GREATEST I
HAVE EVER READ.

Shit...I just had to tell someone ...
=)

i like your transition from the sad story of a man who is on
booze, to the uplifting joy of comic books

Akira just started being published over here (only 20 years
since its ineption), I am so happy. BTW, a nice, surreal
story, Junktion.

Akira's good. (although the ending confuses me)

Ghost in the Shell is ok: but its a rip off of Bladerunner.

Oh, you have the thin comics. There's 6 paperback books
that just got released in the States this past year.

Bladerunner? Hmm, never thought of it that way.. Actually,
it made me think of William Gibson's "Neuromancer"
trilogy...
