i am so upset. today i tried to log on to soulseek. but there were no servers on-line! the slsk website is gone also. anyone know what has happened? if soulseek is dead my life is over. there's no way around it. i'll have a hard time getting by day to day. please...if you have any info on soulseek please post here. distressed, smegalove |

my client told me if i refuse to update now i won't be able to connect again, so i did. now it works again; it seemed to be one of the usual updates. |

It's not an update thing. The soulseek program gets the list of servers from www.soulseek.org and that site is down. If someone knew the IP of the server you could probably log in by hand. |

I really hope is that Nik guy doing some updates...I don't want them to close,it's really our only resource in nice hard-to-find electronic music artists/songs... :((\ Hopefully they'll get it back by tonight...If they do will someone write back and let us know please...:( |

I reckon NIRs gonna close it for a couple of weeks so the AG people move onto different pastures...people have been suggesting it for days... Then hopefully it'll return, & stay nice n cosy again... then again, it might be just a temp thing...it's up n down a lot and all the new users can't be helping... |

This doesn't apply to people who are already logged on to the system, but if your client hasn't been open for several hours, you won't be able to connect. My webhost can't yet tell me why but we have a backup plan and either way this should be resolved within 12-24 hours.
