cool, this is exactly the kinda thing i was hoping would be
goin on in my absence :) thanx to skodt for his great
focussing.. we should begin compiling a list of people and
their skills/commitment so we can move on a level and enter
some kind of planning stage --

-- i have that angelfire website that we could use as an
ongoing map of where we are at any given time --

someone check out cdstreet.com . they can handle
distribution/sales. bassically you send them one copy of the
cd, the artwork, and setup your price. when a copy is sold,
they press it, print it and mail it to the customer. of
course they take a cut though.
just might be worth checking out.

thanx hep, we have to pay for getting CDs made, so maybe
their cut is reasonable

i may be full of shit, but i think you can buy cd-rs that
aren't green. i think i've seen clear cd-rs, but again. i
may be full of shit.
i also have several local 2nd hand shops and what not in
mind i can try to sell to. i'm seriously incredibly stoked
about this idea, and i'll do what ever i can to help.

Okay I havent read this thread, but if you wanna start an
OFFICIAL Label you have to have at least one commercial
release on a record label of your choice.

yeah, me too :) - i got lots of music to contribute and
would definitely take over some organisation, cause here in
cologne we got a pretty good scene for stuff like that
(i.e.: cool shops, people .. a lot of "undergroung" things
running, so ...) - should be possible!

offline marlowe from Antarctica on 2002-06-21 08:23 [#00277928]

that's cool, doki, because i imagine we'll need people from
all over the world to help out with organisation/promotion
&tc, plus the music of course ;)

offline doki from cologne (Germany) on 2002-06-21 08:30 [#00277946]

cool :) - i also got some connections to other cities here
(bochum/hamburg) and i know people from a media school in
france quite well, who would definitely be up to spread the
word there - they organise shitloads!!!

i make music, but it'd clash with everyone else's, so i can
just make artwork (been doing it for 7-8 years on
computer).. and i'd do it just for propz too, i wouldn't ask
for a fee.

We'd look stupid if we released CDs with that name. ;)

My friend and I had an electronic group called "hazard tape"
and we intented to only release stuff on cassette.
