i meant to post this a few weeks ago, but i was enjoying having 666 points too much. anyway, a few weeks ago on cinemax there was a documentary on the amish and how the kids, at the age of 16, are basically allowed to go wild and enter the world we know so as to experience it and figure out if they want to join the amish church. the woman who made the documentary played loads of SAW and SAWII tracks throughout, so props to her.

yeah, it's called something like "rummskiya". they're allowed to experience the world until they either a) join the amish church, or b) just dont join and live in the "normal" world for the rest of their life. however, they can join anytime, but if you join the church and then leave, you'll be shunned. they are allowed to do this (go nuts) to get it out of their system so they wont be tempted later on in life by the outside world.

i've seen this documentary -- features young rebellious amish kids - the main person is some young amish dealer/user or something who promises to clean up his act

it was pretty cool...on Ch4 a few months back...
I must admit I learnt a lot about the Amish from it...the idea of lettting your kids decide for themselves is remarkebly cool & healthy...
(the SAW/II trax worked really well...Ambient stuff like SAWII is almost custom made for documentaties really...)
