try www.micromusic.net and www.nanoloop.de (it´s also in english as far as i remember) - they make this weird gameboy-sampler-music ... should be in the realm of what you´re looking for ... also check out twerk - it´s not really "gameish" music, but one of the highest level of max-music you can get imo ... have fun ...

If you want to listen to old computer music, simply download the AY player and a lot of AY files.
