Before you laugh at me or discontinue reading, hear me out! I took out the sleep and stared at it till I figured out what that that black thing is and this is what I found out: It's E.T. or some alien carrying away a boy!! Im so serious. How can you find out? Go grab you copy and follow my instructions...this is pretty cool. 1) hold it up to the light in such a way that you can see all the 'hidden' sections by making the light hit it at the right angle...you probably already knew this if you have a copy of chiastic (incunabula has the same feature) 2) close you right or left eye and notice that the white 'hidden' part becomes dark and the black becomes purplish. 3) First, imagine the boy facing to the cover's left (he's facing your left hand). You'll notice a square on top and a backwards "L" shape. thats his arms...and the second black part is underneath in front of him...these are his legs. 4) You'll now notice that the purplish shape sure looks like it's 'carrying' something...which is the boy. either this could be a space pod or an alien. 5) the black part under neath all this is also turned purplish...that's the shadow of the thing above the ground. everything else is well..up to you to decide. I hope ive shown you something new through this. |
